PLEASE DO NOT hire this company. they just tried to rip me off. They installed a new hot water heater in 2020. Because of a 4 pt. inspection, my insurance company required me to get before approving to cover my home (that's another story). Now 4 years later, I smell gas in the room the heater is in and the pilot light went out. I made an emergency call to Heatwave. A young guy shows up, looks for a leak, doesn't find one. His said he can't fix it and says there something wrong inside the tank and would have to be replaced at a cost of $700 to me. I didn't believe what he said so after he left I called TECO Peoples Gas' They sent a tech to check it out. He found the leak coming from the gas line and fixed it in 5 mins. DO NOT trust this company, they will take advantage of senior citizens. I am retired and on a fixed income and can't afford to replace a 4 year old water heated. Always be careful who you talk to and hire. DON"T trust anyone.

Duct work replacement we were charged for the comfort club. Months later we scheduled a checkup for the air conditioner. We got charged with one bill without itemization on some work they claim we needed. I noticed the bill was higher than anticipated. The service tech did our duct cleaning even though we told him not to do it. We were charged twice as much as we wanted. When I called, I was told they do not itemize bills. I kept calling and finally they did and I realized they charged me for the Comfort club again. I kept asking for months for the refund and it was delayed for 7 months. I kept calling to get a refund on work we did not want and never got it. Also, I kept emailing and asking to speak to Dan Bilingsley the President and he never responded. Terrible customer service. I would never recommend this company. Buyer beware of their billing practices. Also, they created the itemized bill for me and dropped my husbands' signature from another document and told me he signed it. I did call one more time to try and give them a chance before I wrote this review, and I got no call back. I always had to call them.

!! DO NOT HIRE HEATWAVE !! PLEASE READ BELOW !! When I purchased my insurance/warranty for my home, one of their perks is that they will send an AC company to do a full tuneup of my AC unit. The outline of the services offered was: Check thermostat operation Clean filter or replace (customer supplied) Check system temperature split Inspect disconnect Inspect fuses Inspect wiring Tighten electrical connections Inspect contractors, relays and pressure controls Inspect electrical safety circuits Check voltage and amperage to all motors Inspect indoor blower and motor for dirt buildup Inspect bearings and lubricate all moving parts (if needed) Inspect condensate drain Inspect outdoor coil Inspect duct seal at unit and secure panels Run and test system Interior Coil Cleaning Exterior Coil Cleaning The technician arrived (Mike) and within 1 minute (no exaggeration as the handler is right next to the front door), he removed the return vent, look inside and said "You need a new unit. We have great incentives and prices where you can finance it to make comfortable payments". He said that the coil needed cleaning and that was something costly, so I might as well invest in a new system. He checked the handler with a flashlight and said that the unit was, in fact, 10 years old and would most likely stop working any minute. He provided me with a replacement quote and stepped outside for what I thought was to continue with the service call, checking the outside unit. When I noticed he wasn't returning to the house, I stepped out and saw that he was gone. He never performed the steps offered on the outline for the service call. I called my warranty company to report this, they called Heatwave and they requested that the technician return to my home and clean the coils, which was included in their coverage. The same technician returned a couple of days later, cleaned the coil and LEFT AGAIN! He did not perform ANY of the itemized checks that were expected. I called Heatwave, was told that someone would get back to me, but nobody did. I called two more times with no response. I would ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND this company. In my experience, their main goal is to sell units, not service them, even if they are working perfectly fine.
