Steel City Radon

I called Steel City Radon a week and a half ago to replace a radon fan from a system they had installed 10 years ago. They called me back 2 days later and said that they’d be out to replace it “sometime this week”. No date or time, just that they’d come out. When the week came and went without them coming out, I called them again and left a voicemail asking if they still intended to replace the fan. I got no response so two days later I emailed them hoping that maybe they’d respond to an email. They never did respond though so I ended up hiring US Radon professionals who answered right away and my fan was replaced the very next morning. I very seriously do NOT recommend this company. They gave me the best price for fan replacement and since they originally installed the system - I wanted to stay with them. After checking reviews on multiple platforms, I saw there were mixed reviews but hoped for the best. However if you look at their reviews on google, you will notice a slew of their “5 stars” reviews are all batched between 7 and 11 months ago (from march 2020) and many of those accounts have only reviewed for one or two companies. I can’t prove that the 5 star reviews were posted by the company itself via dummy profiles but it certainly is suspicious. My personal experience with them was absolutely in line with the earlier 1 star reviews. For that reason, I will be sure to post my experience on multiple platforms to warn any other customers against trying to hire this company. It’s a big waste of time. Look elsewhere. Again I personally had an excellent experience with US Radon professionals who had a similar price but are far more reliable
