I want to say I hired a company called The Roofing Advantage co. I worked with a gentleman named: Charles Meckling on replacing my entire roof. I found the company on an app called Thumbtack, I have received a contract to replace my roof for $12,500. Within the contract it states that the old shingle will be removed down to the wood. The project was completed near the end of December 2019. On 7/10/2020, I had a different roofer come and install a ridge vent because I opted out of that option from The Roofing Advantage co. On March 28th 2020, I did tried to contact the roofing advantage, but they disabled their phone service (I believe because they had another complaint from another customer on Thumbtack). During the installation of the ridge vent this new company showed me pictures of the roof on one side of the house. The pictures show how thick the layers of shingles are. They explained that the old roofer never removes the old shingles from one side of the house. I started digging around for the company since I can't contact the number on file: "412-712-3359". I recognize Charles Meckling and Anthony Marcello name, so I came across this BBB page. The address that was used on "The Roofing Advantage" is 2242 Brownsville road Pittsburgh PA 15210. I believe the two gentlement is a fraud and just starting businesses to scam people. I have found another company on Home Advisor called, "Quality Home Exteriors" that is owned by Charles and Anthony. They have now close down “Quality Home Exteriors” . on Home Advisor in Pittsburgh

Roofing Advantage was a great company to work with in the beginning. Great communication at first. The completed a new roof at the end of 2019 into January 2020. they improperly repaired a drain which lead to water not be drained off the roof, this lead to damage to the interior. After two failed attempts to repair their damage, I had to hire another contractor to correct. Roofing Advantage also agreed in writing to the reimburse for the outside contractor but the failed to live up to the agreement. Sad as they were great to work with up until the resolution of the issue was outside of there scope.
