Amtek Air Conditioning

We used to be loyal customers of Amtek, but that changed during our last service call. A tech named Chris arrived after we called about the air not working correctly and hearing what sounded like water dripping. He barely looked at anything and came to me with a diagnoses that it was going to cost close to $1000 to fix a unit they installed approximately 2 years ago. I explained I thought the unit should be under warranty. Chris said it was a defective part and would be labor intensive to fix. I was obviously upset because we haven't even finished paying off the air conditioner yet, and Chris was rude, condescending and argumentative, cutting me off when I had questions or didn't agree. He said he could get the cost down if we signed up for a service contract (around $900), but since that didn't work out so well the last time, I told him we would get other estimates. Basically, it cost me $95 for their tech to come in and piss me off. He even said ask for me when you call to have the work done. On the other side, I went to another company I came across who was working on our neighbors house. He checked everything out on the spot and got my air working for $125 then came back the next week cleaned coils and replaced a part. All in all it cost me $250 instead of $1000. I guess we know why he wanted us to ask for him. Perhaps he was afraid I'd get an honest tech who wasn't trying to rip us off. My advice, go anywhere but Amtek.

Excellent Service. My brother called Amtek Air Conditioning to install a Split AC.  They came out very quickly, were on time as scheduled, and provided outstanding service.  We will surely get in touch with them in the future whenever we are in need of any HVAC services. Definitely recommend!

Amtek Air is very punctual, efficient, informative and polite. My mother in law was staying at my home for the summer, but the guest room AC was not working. It was a desperate situation. Within a single call, Amtek came to our home and fixed the AC in a flash. Thank you Amtek Air.

I went with Amtek Air for AC unit maintenance. The technician was friendly and professional. The company also offered us a full year maintenance service option. They were prompt in their service and they even take the time to check up on us every now and again to make sure everything is okay. I will continue to use their service and highly recommend them without a doubt.
