Total Remodel of Primary Residence

Oct 2015

This is another circa 50's home in the Port Wentworth area that started as a two bedroom, one and a half bath. We installed a new roof, added a laundry room off the carport, added a new master bedroom and bathroom. This ended up being a three bedroom tow and a half bath home. Because of the clients allergies, we installed laminate flooring in the bedrooms and ceramic tile in the balance of the home. We opened up the wall between the kitchen and living room for an open concept design and installed a beautiful picture window facing the front of the home. French Doors were added off the kitchen for access to the back yard. The home received new air conditioning, plumbing and electrical for a fraction of what a new home would have cost.

Port Wentworth primary residence

Mar 2015

This home built in the early 50's was a complete rehab project. Several attempts at upgrading had been performed over the years but to bring it up to a truly livable home we removed all the existing drywall, up graded the electrical and most of the plumbing. A couple of walls were removed and one added including eliminating a door opening. Termite and water damage was removed and repaired prior to installing new drywall and textured ceilings. The laundry room, kitchen, dining room, great room and library had 5/8 inch solid bamboo floors installed. Bathrooms received ceramic tile and bedrooms a luxurious pile wall to wall carpet. The walls were primed and painted with premium paint matching throughout the home. The home also received all new appliances in the kitchen and laundry room. A screened porch, deck and new roof are scheduled for late summer 2015.

Access and Egress in Richmond Hill

Feb 2015

This home is approximately 20 years old and had some severe water damage from an improperly installed roof on the back of the house. After the crew removed the old roof, repaired the damage and installed new anti-fungal 25 year roof we were ready to begin bringing the home back to life. The damaged door and casing was completely removed and interior drywall was removed under where the water had leaked into the house. That section of the roof had to be jacked up nearly two inches, a new wooden truss brace was added for strength and stability and let back into place. A new door and casing was installed with internal blinds in the window and a new storm door for security and ventilation. The front door was replaced due to a design flaw in the original construction. The vinyl surrounding the entrance door was removed and replaced with stone veneer. Other work consisted of replacing an old styled florescent kitchen fixture with a designer 8-head halogen fixture for more flexible lighting. In addition we installed a new direction for dryer vent taking it into the attic and out the side wall. The previous vent was under the slab and had been a problem with moisture and clogging of debris.
