New dog run and storage shed.

May 2015

This was another one of my jobs where I wish I would have taken before pictures. The home owner had a hard tine using this space on the side of the house. The builder put a 10 inch curb around the side door. In order to divert water. Way over kill. There is a drain. I demoed all of the existjng fence gstes and knocked that stupid curb out . I dug out 6 inches of barkdust and dirt., and put down 3/4 minus and tamped it down to form a solid base that I added three quarter crushed rock for drainage. in the process I build a ramp leading up from the lower section up until the upper back section all out of three quarter rock. needless to say this created the optimum for the space and now the homeowner could use it as the water flows great right down the drain . I build him a picture frame for us to match the existing out of good cedar and 5/4 cedar for the rails. for the gate I used what is thick cedar boards by 6 inches wide add. It's a really good hardware making the easiest face totally cool

Dino's hot tub removal

Mar 2015

The scope of work was to remove the hot tub and fill in the hole. There was a lot going on with this job. After removing some of the decking I saw a huge puddle of water. Luckily it was an easy fix. I then filled in the hole from where the hot tub sat with pressure treated 2x8s making sure to treat all cuts with end cut solution. Since it was 18 feet in length I was able to buy 20 foot cedar so there were no seams. As always, I used stainless steel screws to fasten it down and timber tech for the substructure. I had a salvage company come over, they chopped up the hot tub and hauled it away.

Tualatin picture frame

Dec 2014

The existing fence was poorly built and was no surprise to the homeowner that it fell down during a wind storm. All of the posts were broken at the base.. Which shows thst they were installed and maintained incorrectly. we decided we'd raise it up an extra foot and put quartz slabs around the base to give a rock wall look I think it was a hit and so did the homeowner. the new fence was built entirely of cedar I also use 5/4 boards for the rails in my picture frame design. and as with all my senses I use stainless steel screws.

Heidi's fence

May 2014

To build a fence around their house using rustic 3/4 inch fence boards that was constructed out of cedar. There were many obstacles to overcome in this project. It needed to go through an area of trees and needless to say I hit my fair share of roots. It also cut across the back of the driveway so I had to cut a hole in the concrete in order to sink a post.

Woods creek deck

Jun 2013

The existing deck was close to falling apart. My clients made the right choice in choosing me to work on their project. I removed the old deck. I salvaged what I could, but most everything was the wrong material. I made the new deck wider with stairs cascading down each side creating a better flow. All of the decking was pre stained giving 360 degrees of protection, using Sikkens brand stain. I also prefer decking from Conrad's lumber yard, its a liitle more in price, but is by far the best quality. As always I used stainless steel screws to fasten down and timber tech 3 inch screws for the substructure. As part of my building practice, I always make sure to seal up all cuts made to pressure treated materials and make it part of my building practice to seal up sub structure with end cut solution. My attention to all details is the reason why people prefer me over anyone else.

This project was a fun one . I love it when I'm able to show off some of my art. I replace the fence on one side of the house. and on the other side of the house I moved it to the front of the house and put in a gate very nice gate. the gate of the front of the house is built with old clear cedar boards. and a mushroom design is rooted in the top. very simple but very elegant. well within most peoples budget
