Hamilton Kitchen

Oct 2013

An unbelievable transformation, this kitchen went from a series of smaller spaces to one large space. We removed two walls to open things up which required extensive structural work to the ceiling and a large beam. Now the kitchen is a great room for cooking and entertaining with an eating bar, new premium appliances and lots of storage. Photos By Nicks Photo Design

Providence Heights Kitchen

Jul 2013

A fun and colorful space, the design of this kitchen remodel reflects the personality of our clients. Lots of color, slick new quartz countertops, fine stainless steel appliances, and a relaxed, clean feel make this space sing. We created a new pass-through opening, and cut the adjacent door in half which helped meld the kitchen space with the dining and living rooms. The custom designed, Azrock vinyl tile floor is a focal point with 6 different colors in a distinctive pattern that is cool, playful and funky all in one. A new breakfast nook with storage drawers, and a wall mounted flat screen TV make this space a comfortable place to cook and relax. Photos By Nicks Photo Design

Arnold Woods Bath

Jan 2013

This master bath was in serious need of an update with an old, ginormous jacuzzi tub that needed to go. In its place we designed a new showering area that is roomy and relaxing, without a bulky glass door to get in the way. A shower valve is located on the other side of the half wall to the left, allowing our client to turn on and adjust the water before entering. The vanity features a his & hers setup, with a medicine/storage upper cabinet and laundry hamper lower cabinet in-between. The cabinets are cherry with a granite tile countertop and glass mosaic backsplash selected by our client. Granite tile helped to control cost as it is much less expensive than a granite slab, while still retaining the aesthetic. Our clients could not be happier with their new bathroom, and we had a great time working with them.

Westgate Kitchen

Sep 2012

This kitchen won the 2013 Oregon Remodelers Association Award for Best Kitchen 40k - 80k. This kitchen features cabinetry from DeWils Custom Cabinetry, Caesarstone countertops, and light fixtures custom designed by the homeowner. One major issue we encountered was discovery of a roof truss that had been heavily damaged by a previous contractor. This required some structural engineering work to repair this area of the roof. Overall the project turned out really well, and our home owner was very happy with the results.

West Tabor Baths

Jan 2012

Two baths for a wonderful couple, a main floor hall bath, and a 2nd floor master bath, completed in two phases. The hall bath features period influences with inset cabinetry, old style pedestal sink, corner bath tub, and hex tile floor. A light blue/turquoise color scheme plays off of the exquisite shower tile work at the tub/shower and helps create a soft and calming space. The master bath was a challenging project with a tight space and low ceiling heights. We maximized storage with a row of linen cabinets, and managed to squeeze a large tile shower into the room with beautiful tile accents all around. Photo By Nicks Photo Design

1900 House

Aug 2011

This kitchen and adjacent laundry/craft room was in need of an update for a wonderful young family. We responded with new cabinetry throughout, farm sink and new appliances, cork tile flooring, and a sliding barn style door. The large wood beam through the kitchen was wrapped with new Doug Fir panels, distressed, and coated with a beautiful dark stain. A butcherblock island top warms the informal eating area with an old style hutch nearby for storage.

Buckman Green Kitchen

May 2006

This beautiful SE Portland home built in 1910 was the focus for our award winning green kitchen remodel. The space required the removal of a chimney in the center of the room, and replacement of all windows and exterior doors with new energy efficient units. The flooring is a pre-finished Greenwood bamboo that is certified as environmentally sustainable. The countertops are Richlite, a paper based hard surface material that is composed of recycled and FSC certified material. Photo By Nicks Photo Design

Holgate House

Apr 2006

The owners of this 8-sided house built in 1982 sought a place to relax and get away. A contemporary, spa-style bathroom for 2 was the solution with a free standing soaking tub, and double pedestal sinks. A river-stone floor tile inlay lazily winds its way to the tub area. Excelsior Bathroom

Jun 2005

We designed this modern master spa-bath to be both relaxing and edgy. The focal point of the room is a 1/2" glass panel countertop painted on the back side featuring a stainless steel vanity sink. The finished surface is sleek, cool and totally custom. The cabinetry is by local maker MnM Cabinets with an ebonized stain on black walnut resulting in a deep chocolate finish. Other features include heated tile floors, Jacuzzi tub, and frameless glass shower enclosure. Photo By Nicks Photo Design
