The plan I designed called for Transitional Shaker style, full overlay cabinets in a rich cherry finish. In the laundry we added upper cabinets above the W/D; and next to the dryer a lower cabinet with a drawer & storage as well as hanging space and rod above it for drip drying clothes. In the powder room a simple, classic pedestal sink and new toilet would replace the old vanity. We decided to keep the wainscoting there and were able to salvage wainscoting from the kitchen to fill in missing panels where the vanity had been. At our first meeting I learned of the aluminum wiring. Replacing it with copper would require the removal of all the drywall in the two larger rooms as well as installing a new upgraded Electrical Panel. The budget the client gave me was $40,000 not including appliances.

900 sq. ft. complete rehab of a 1978 high rise condo. Transitioned from the 70s traditional to a 2014 contemporary décor. The one bedroom, one bathroom condo has not been touched other than a simple re-paint in 38 years. We completely gutted the space down to the concrete board. All the cabinets, plumbing fixtures, and appliances were replaced with stainless steel appliances, white cabinetry, and pendant lighting. Removed popcorn texture ceilings and carpet flooring and replaced it with smooth ceilings and bamboo flooring. Implemented primary colors to show contrast to the white cabinetry and neutral toned furniture.

The original laundry location in this split-level home was in the garage around the vehicles. By repurposing the dining room space we took the laundry room and placed it on the same level as the dining space. With the spacious laundry room on the main level it gives easier access for all age groups to utilize it. The frosted pocket doors separates the laundry room from the living space.
