Kitchen Remodel

Jul 2015

One of my favorite kitchens of all times, so many hidden features that I had to be creative on...built a costume hood to incorporate the 1947 stove that ended up being built out of an old fence to give the aged look she wanted, complete with 2 energy efficient lights and a an 8" high efficiency fan, she didn't want to have a microwave on the counter so had to build a custom cabinet with a siding shelf, because of limited counter space had me build two 24x24 cutting boards to help her when she cans from her garden, we also built a cabinet extension from her original cabinetry for easy access to coffee cups and a built in paper towel holder...it even has a cubby hole for the dog to hide in when she wants to get away from company. I won't even get into integrating the 1920's lighting fixtures that had to be reworded and customized to bring up to code, even hung an old rake head to store her favorite wine glasses, what a challenge but a customer that is happy is a job well done.
