Mark Home Repair

Mark showed up at the agreed time and place. He was cordial and we discussed the projects that I needed done. He said he would get back to me with a quote by email. He was prompt with the quote but it did not include all of the repairs that we had discussed. Mark redid the quote to contain the items. He originally stated that the project would be started in two wees. The day after I received the quote Mark called and said that the painters would be there the next day and that I would need to buy the paint and have it at the job site. First of all I did not understand how they could start painting when Mark did not have the repairs done. He asked me if I had gotten the replacement siding and and I said that Lowes no longer carried it and that I would order it online. Mark stated that he would do the other repairs and keep enough paint to patch where he fixed the siding.I showed up one morning with the paint and there was no one at the work site.He had told me the nite before that they would be at the site at 11am. I called Mark and told him no one was there he stated that the painter hadn't finished his other job and would not start until the next day. I said that it was supposed to rain and he said that was ok they could still paint in the rain. Mark met me at the property and then explained that the painters did not show up because they hadn't been paid?? Mark stated he needed $300.00 cash to start. That made me uneasy but I got the cash and gave it to him. He stated that I didn't need to get the white trim paint because he already had some he could use. I stated to Mark that I did not want the house painted in the rain. He then said oh they wouldn't do that (which was contrary to what he originally stated). I went over to the job one afternoon to see how it was going. The house did not appear to have been power washed or loose paint scraped prior to their painting. (There were no paint scrapings on the ground around the house which typically even if you put a drop cloth down you still get a little on the ground) I stated that I was not happy with the paint not being scraped and showed that I could peel the paint off with my finger nail). So I left expecting him to scrape the loose paint and repaint the siding. When he called and said he was done we agreed to meet at the job site to pay the remainder of the bill. I stated that I was unhappy with his work and that he had never fixed the basement windows and had not put trim on the corners of the house like I asked him to do. He stated that he thought I had said never mind about the windows which I had expected him to replace as stated on our agreement. I would not recommend Mark to do any type of repair work .

Very reasonably priced, did some very nice wood work. Like to support my veterans as well.

Mark has kept three rental properties for me in top notch condition. He works closely with his customers to achieve affordable and high quality results. When he got my house ready to put on the market he called on a network of sub contractors to complete the project on time and within budget.
