Maxwell Contracting

We hired Sean Maxwell to do stone veneer work around our entire house in Dec. 2016. I had found him on Thumbtack and he immediately reached out to us within 2 seconds of me putting out a query. I was hesitant because he was young, new, and didn't have any references. I figured someone has to start somewhere -- Now I learned you get what you pay for. When the job was nearing completion, it was getting dark when I got home from work and he wanted me to sign off on it that I was happy. He told me I would have a 5 year warranty stated in my contract and on his website (now taken down, of course). I paid him and told him it looks good for now, but I would have to give it a closer look in the light. The next day, I noticed some sections were drooping badly and there were some holes not filled in at all. It was like the sinking of the Titanic in front of my home! We called him repeatedly and he finally got back to us with an excuse of being in the hospital with pneumonia, and came out to our house to take a look. Sean then left saying he still has pallets of the stone I paid for and would be happy to fix it but he got another job and was ending the contracting business. He said to call back in a week or so. He then ignored repeated calls/emails. And he screwed us on the project. I now have to hire another contractor to fix his mess. If you see this guy, run like the plague unless you don't mind a disaster and stress
