Tony did a patio and firepit with a sitting wall and it looks amazing

There have been several errors made on Tony’s part when doing the work in our yard and we were able to catch some of them upfront and have them rectify them but many were caught too late. For instance, several trees and bushes were planted in the wrong spots (multiple times) and thankfully these were moved prior to them wrapping up the job. However, we weren’t so lucky on the remaining aspects of the job. Our first complaint is regarding the mulch placed around the perimeter of the fence. For most of it they did not dig out the grass underneath and just threw the mulch on top. In addition they never placed a weed barrier underneath which I expected them to do. Being a landscaper they should know better than anyone that Bermuda is dominant and fast growing and would quickly grow through the mulch, which is did, along with numerous weeds. We tried spraying as a solution but they just kept coming back. They also did not lay a barrier underneath the pebble pathway to they created so now we have tons of grass growing through that as well. Secondly, they poorly planted many of the bushes and plants. The 3 hedges out front have since died despite our attempts at saving them and numerous Lirope had to be replanted as they were never actually in the ground and were just covered with mulch. Lastly, the firepit. I'm not even sure where to begin here. Once again they did not lay a barrier underneath the paver patio so we have grass and weeds coming through which is made possible because many of the pavers have shifted and cracked due to poor installation. This should have never been done over concrete and we only know this now because of several other landscape professionals have informed us of such. In addition to this the benches were also done incorrectly using the wrong materials. They used retaining wall blocks to build a freestanding bench which is why our benches are on a slant. Their “solution” was to build a mound of grass behind it to secure it in place. On top of all of this they didn't even use mortar but instead cement glue as means of attaching the blocks together. Not only does the whole thing look aesthetically unappealing but it is actually unsafe. Several blocks have fallen off and one of our friends actually fell off and ripped his pants when he sat on one of loose blocks. Lucky for him and us he wasn't hurt! The only part of the firepit we are actually pleased with is the actual prefab pit itself which they purchased from Home Depot. My husband and I have had to redo much of their work. We have spent countless hours and hundreds of dollars removing all the mulch, digging out the grass, laying a weed barrier and reapplying the mulch around the fence. We now have to remove all the pebbles in the pathway so a weed barrier can go down there. Finally we have to demo the firepit patio and benches as we can’t have this hazard in our backyard. Their solution to this was to not have us pay the remaining $585 balance we owed but the $3600 we did pay plus the additional money and time we are now having to put in to fix everything seems like an awful lot for a prefab firepit and some plants.
