Russell (Rusty) and Teresa Savard purchased their first pellet stove in November of 1989 from the newly opened Rainbow Pellet Stoves in Redding, CA. (Then owned by Jerry & Leslie Floyd). Rusty liked the technology so much he decided he wanted to share this new and exciting "Green" way of heating his home with others. In April of 1990 Rusty and Teresa Savard bought the newly opened, 6 month old hearth store called Rainbow Pellet Stoves specializing in just pellet stoves. Rainbow's first year in business, owned and operated by Rusty and Teresa, it was apparent that this new home heating technology was in huge demand and soon the business began to grow by leaps and bounds. Since then much has changed. Rainbow Pellet Stoves is now known as Rainbow Pellet Hearth & Home, to reflect the broad offering of many products. Still specializing in pellet-fired technologies, Rainbow now also offers a full line of Gas and Wood burning appliances to include Zero Clearance Fireplaces and Free Standing and Insert models. Rainbow has now included Custom Backyard Kitchens to the mix with the top of the line grills to choose from. Rainbow Pellet Hearth & Home now stands in Shasta County as the premier hearth products provider offering superior product, service and is a Licensed CA contractor (Lic # 682248). Rainbow is the area's only "In House" installation service to offer a true turnkey hearth products purchase. After 21 years in the hearth products business, Rainbow has a spotless record with Better Business Bureau and the California Contractors License Board. Rainbow Pellet Hearth & Home continues as a family-owned and operated business with the addition of Rusty and Teresa's son to the team, Chris Savard, the same goal being adhered to.
