Miranda Tile & Flooring LLC

My wife and I hired Julian Miranda of Miranda Tile and Flooring LLC for a master bathroom tile project. He quoted us a cash deposit due upon signing, with a start date of September 29th. Before the project began, he provided a materials list, which we purchased per his instructions to ensure everything was ready. On Sunday, September 28th, we contacted Mr. Miranda to confirm his planned start time and discuss site access and project logistics. He informed us that he had a court appearance for a speeding ticket and would not be able to arrive until 2 p.m.. By 3 p.m., we reached out again after not hearing from him. He replied that his court appearance had taken longer than expected but that he was “five minutes away” from our home. He never arrived. We followed up again to see if he would come the following day, and he assured us that he and his cousin would be at our house by 9 a.m. Tuesday. My wife took time off work to meet with him and review the project details, but once again, he never showed up. After repeated calls and text messages went unanswered, we decided to cancel the contract due to breach of agreement and demanded a refund of our deposit. He reached out to us via text and disclosed that he was working another project and that it was taking him longer than he anticipated. Since then, Mr. Miranda has ceased all communication with us and has made no effort to return our deposit or resolve the issue amicably. We are now pursuing legal action to recover our funds. Overall, our experience with Miranda Tile and Flooring LLC was extremely disappointing. We would strongly caution others to avoid doing business with this contractor based on his lack of professionalism, unreliability, and outright failure to fulfill contractual obligations.
