![]() ![]() | Alexandria Whole Home | Aug 2014 | Our clients fell in love with the neighborhood, yard, and good bones of their newly-purchased brick ranch house in suburban Alexandria, but they were eager to give the whole home a much-needed facelift before they moved in. We remodeled their Master Bath, the Hall Bath (for their daughter), and the Basement Bath (for their son), as well as opened up the stairs in the entry Foyer, and created a wall of built-ins in the Basement. | $205k | Alexandria, VA |
![]() ![]() | Arlington Town Home | May 2014 | Our clients returned to their rented townhome after 18 years abroad to find it desperately in need of updates. We remodeled the home top to bottom and gave it a fresh new transitional feel. The rick dark color of the newly-stained floors and stairs coordinates beautifully with the simple yet striking finishes in the kitchen, living room, master bath, etc. The updated space features all new lighting, paint, tile flooring, a completely new kitchen, completely new baths, and landscaped rear yard area. | $250k | Arlington, VA |
![]() ![]() | Reston Exterior Improvements | Jan 2013 | Our clients had purchased a new semi-custom home, but were unsatisfied with the facade. Not only did it share the same look as several other homes in their upscale neighborhood, it felt too traditional and boxy for their contemporary tastes. Soon after the home was completed, they decided to make it their own with several renovation projects. Customizing the front entrance with a unique, stately portico and more substantial and attractive dormers was at the top of the list. The home's main entry consisted of a small brick, covered concrete front stoop, metal railing, and a shallow decorative balcony above. To create a grander entrance, the original stoop and balcony were demolished, and the new exterior was enhanced with an expanded concrete stoop and steps, columns, and a large barrel-vaulted roof with recessed lighting. Although the home already had three decorative dormers, they were under-sized and our clients wanted to add additional interest and charm to their shape. Our team re-built all three dormers to better match the scale and distinction of the home. | $95k | Vienna, VA |
![]() ![]() | Leesburg 1st Floor Renovation & Porch | Jan 2013 | With their child in his junior year of high school and getting ready for college, our clients were ready to update their kitchen, breakfast room, and adjoining family room space to transition to their next phase of life. After almost 20 years, these spaces were ready to be upgraded. With only a small patio at the rear of their home with awkward access, an important part of the project was creating an integrated, enjoyable outdoor space. Our clients wanted the kitchen and family room to have a contemporary and fresh style while still relating to the more traditional and formal living room and dining room. The remodeled spaces include new cabinetry, appliances, granite countertops, tile backsplash, plumbing and lighting fixtures, hardwood flooring, and custom built-ins. In the kitchen we removed the island and reconfigured the layout to open up the space. We also converted a set of windows to French doors leading to a new porch and deck area. | $180k | Leesburg, VA |
![]() ![]() | Ashburn 1st Floor Renovation | Jan 2013 | After living in their home for twelve years, our clients were ready to up-grade their kitchen and adjacent family room to better reflect their personal style. This was their first home together, so they went with builder standard selections when they purchased it. For the renovated kitchen and family room, the clients wanted a rustic contemporary style, mixing vintage inspired materials with classic clean lines -- as a result, we created a Modern-day Farmhouse look for them. The remodeled space includes new hardwood flooring, cabinetry, appliances, granite countertops, tile backsplash, plumbing and lighting fixtures, custom built-ins, and custom ceiling details. We removed the dividing half-walls between the kitchen and family room to open up the spaces and allow for a larger island with seating in the new layout. | $175k | Broadlands, VA |
![]() ![]() | Reston 1st Floor Facelift | Jan 2013 | Our Reston clients wanted a fresh, updated look for their kitchen and family room without breaking the bank. Many elements of the spaces stayed (the basic layout, the kitchen cabinets and fixtures, flooring, and the firebox), and new finishes and fixtures were added, including new countertops, tile backsplash, lighting, fireplace surround, and custom built-ins. The new space has a more personal feel, and the thoughtful shelving and niches ensure that the family has lots of space to display their most-beloved belongings! | $45k | Reston, VA |
![]() ![]() | Oakton Large Home Remodel | Jan 2012 | Our clients had a beautiful large house but it was desperately in need of an update. The renovation gave the old dark kitchen and mismatching sunroom a dramatic facelift! Custom two-toned cabinetry, all new finishes and lighting, and a reconfigured island help to update the space. A large new opening to the sunroom and a reconfigured ceiling make the space airy and inviting. The project also included remodeling a large area of their basement, including an exercise room, full bath, and wine storage area. A number of cosmetic improvements to the exterior were also made. | $375k | Oakton, VA |
![]() ![]() | Leesburg Traditional Kitchen | Jan 2011 | For this beautiful kitchen renovation, we removed the existing white cabinetry and really warmed up the space with a rich auburn finish. We paired the wood tone with Santa Cecilia granite countertops and a detailed natural stone backsplash with metal accents. Glass pendants with an interesting vine pattern hang over the island finishing the space and give the kitchen a unique flair. | $45k | Leesburg, VA |
![]() ![]() | Leesburg Kitchen Renovation | Jan 2011 | A sleek contemporary remodel of a builder-grade kitchen in Leesburg. Eye-catching details like the hot red range hood, race-car inspired fixtures, and vinyl banquette seating really make the new space pop! | $90k | Leesburg, VA |
