Our company, The HandyMensch, specializes in smaller residential construction projects that typically last from a few days to four weeks. Our minimum sized project is $2500. Our business has three areas of focus: (1) Small to medium sized remodeling projects. We handle bathroom remodels, basements, and room facelifts. A facelift is where we change the appearance of a room without a full remodel. For example a client might have us paint their kitchen cabinets, install granite countertops and a tile floor. (2) We help owners get their homes ready for sale. We can handle the paint, carpet, countertops, hardwood refinishing and installation, as well as updating light and plumbing fixtures. We also help evaluate and resolve issues raised on home inspection reports. (3) Handyman projects - Usually a very long list of smaller projects or one larger significant project such as a structural repair. We are licensed and well insured. Our primary service area is Fairfax County, Arlington, and Alexandria but we do work outside of that area for larger projects.
