Jorge Duran called me and told me he worked for Porch and wanted to do the work I needed done. I asked him if he had ever worked on the siding of a mobile home and he said he had. He was the only person who called me and he presented himself as a kind and knowledgeable person so I hired him. Since he told me he was from Porch, I assumed he worked for Porch and had been screened by them so I didn't feel I needed to check on him. I hired him to replace a small amount of wooden siding, part of the skirting and to put wood frames around the outside of the windows. I told him not to paint any of the metal siding, to make sure there wasn't a gap under the skirt so the ground squirrels couldn't go underneath, and, since he chose wooden skirt instead of plastic like my previous skirt was and my house is directly on dirt, I told him he needed to find a way to keep the wood siding off of the dirt/mud. He agreed to all of these things. Every bit of work he did was a disaster. I'm convinced he had never worked on the outside of a mobile home before. He painted part of the metal siding, then told me "I know you said not to paint it but it looks good". He cracked the skirting when putting it on, had part of it leaning away from the house, fastened it in a recessed position from the siding, and several other unacceptable items with the skirting. He even had some of it sitting into the dirt and some of it 2 inches off the ground and wide open for the squirrels. He had painted over the cracked part of the skirting so apparently he was hoping I wouldn't notice it. He also used non-galvanized nails on the skirting and they started rusting after 3 days because it was raining every day. The window frames were a disaster. The siding had glaring problems. He asked for money (in cash) every time he worked and I had payed him over $1000 by the time I fired him. It became obvious that the more he did, the more there would be for someone else to fix. Porch refused to cover him with the warranty, saying he was not one of their handymen.

Jorge Duran is very hard working and honest human being. You can trust him and he is of a amiable nature and adjustable to any reasonable limit. He has an opportunity to work on my Drywall and he has done a commendable and fabulous job. I will hire him in future if needed.

Jorge assembled my trampoline, he was on time, very professional and fast... I will definitely use him again

Jorge Duran of Bay Area Handyman services did a good job of cleaning our gutters. I would not hesitate to hire him again.
