Davis & Green teamed up with DPR Construction to complete downtown Richmond's newest hotel, the Marriott Courtyard & Residence Inn. Located in Shockoe Slip, this unique hotel's interior celebrates the historical value of the site. Thomas Jefferson famously penned the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom on-site. RockIt Sports was founded in order to meet the ever growing need for quality, personalized instruction in athletics. Davis & Green provided Design Build lighting solutions to help RockIt Sports achieve optimum lighting levels for indoor sports, as well general purpose wiring and lighting for common areas. The 55,000 square feet of athletic space includes amenities such as 120 x 120 indoor baseball field, an 8,000 square feet of netted, turfed area with bullpens and 14 cages, a college size hardwood basketball floor, a mezzanine with an additional basketball floor and wrestling mats, a weight room/speed training area, a Parent fitness room, the RockIt Cafe. Stonebridge is a multi-use redevelopment project of the former Cloverleaf Mall in Chesterfield, Virginia. It was named the Best Private/Public Project by Virginia Business and is touted as a multi-use development site housing office, residential and commercial options. Davis & Green Electrical partnered with project developers to handle running the electrical components for the site slab, as well as additional work to support both internal and external wiring of the entire development site. The first phase of Stonebridge, which included the construction of 144,000 square feet of retail space, most notably, a 123,600 square-foot Kroger Marketplace, was completed in early 2013. Subsequent project phases are underway and Davis & Green Electrical looks forward to continuing to support the effort.

Located in Hopewell, Virginia, the historic Beacon Theatre is a 640-seat event space dedicated to the arts. Although the theatre, which opened in 1928, held its last curtain call in 1981, the establishment of Hopewell Preservation, Inc. in 1987 began a grassroots effort to restore, revive and reopen the historic landmark. Davis & Green Electrical later joined that restoration effort, and in 2012 began work to replace 280-vintage style sconce lights throughout the theatre. The choice of the vintage style sconce lights was done to maintain the integrity of the era in which the theatre was established. And the results are impressive. The renovation project was completed in early 2013, and Davis & Green Electrical is honored to have supported such a historic restoration project.

Davis & Green partnered with Dovetail Construction to help renovate a former electric railway car barn originally built in 1907 in Richmond, VA. Our goals were to have it listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) and to obtain the highest level of LEED certification (Platinum). The result was a net zero energy commercial office that was both inspirational and fun. What was arguably one of the least energy efficient buildings in Virginia, was turned into one of the most energy efficient in the country.
