Deep south flooring

If you are considering selecting Deep South Flooring, do yourself a favor and DO NOT! Even though Deep South Flooring had bad reviews, I decided to proceed after meeting Tyrone. I thought “Everyone deserves a second chance.” When he came over to provide an estimate, he appeared very knowledgeable and polite. I thought that this transaction would be seamless. IT HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE! Take heed to all the other bad reviews here! I contracted Deep South Flooring to install hardwood flooring for my elderly parents in their modest home. There have been delays upon delays upon delays. We started in May/June 2021 and the work is not complete as of November 2021. Throughout the installation, Tyrone offered the following excuses for delays: His brother had a heart attack/One of his men injured his hand/The materials are backordered/Another job took longer than anticipated. I contacted the supplier myself, and they informed me that the materials are in stock and that they have not received an order from Deep South Flooring. It has been one thing after another. Finally, the crew appeared to be approaching the finish line. During the last stage of the installation which involved installing transitions, his crew discovered that most of the flooring installed by the previous crew would have to be lifted up as the flooring is not levelled and there are gaps. Therefore, when it rains water and moisture will seep in and this can cause mildew. The crew called Tyrone, and told him this. Simply put, the last crew had done a bad job. I appreciated the crew sharing this information with my family, as this would compromise the investment. My family noticed a significant numbers of spots throughout the house that were not installed properly. Since this encounter in late July, we have been back and forth about when the flooring would be fixed. It is November, and Tyrone is still unable to tell me when he plans to finish this job. Tyrone is always unwilling to provide regular updates. Tyrone’s lack of professionalism and empathy is appalling. When I called Tyrone to discuss these issues, he was yelling and speaking in a very aggressive tone. I have zero interest in having a screaming match. My only objective was to have the flooring properly installed in my home. No family should have to deal with this type of ordeal. DO NOT CONTRACT DEEP SOUTH FLOORING!
