Worst experience ever! COMPLETE SCAM. Friendly customer service but they are total crooks. Bait and switch operation. I wish I had read the many negative reviews prior to ever contacting these people. They give you a glossy pamphlet with before and after photos, develop a contract with decent prices, then do a horrible job and want to charge you twice as much to come complete the job. They charged me over $13K and said my house would be leveled. The installer told me from the beginning that he thought the job was really insufficient, but he just did the work he was told to do by the company. They left trash all over my yard and DESTROYED my a/c ducts, costing my another $8K on a HVAC system that was only 2 years old. I sent letters with pictures to the owners and all I got back was a phone call from an annoyed-sounding scheduler who sent someone else out to look at it. That person also agreed that it was poorly done. He stuck in a few jacks and left. I had to call AGAIN because no contractor would install tile in a house that is still so lopsided (5" difference in some places) Third person came out to the house and agreed it was a terrible job, that I shouldn't have to pay more to get the work completed as it should have been the first time. So they sent me an invoice for an ADDITIONAL $8,400 to make the job right!! Lowcountry Foundation Repair is AWFUL! Go anywhere else or even do it yourself and you'll be better off!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬 Link to the letter with photos that I sent to the owners (and they completely ignored). What owner ignored a letter like this?? Only one sales rep even acknowledged it. https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/review?uri=urn:aaid:scds:US:a0645399-785b-3e8b-8a47-aa0a4d8c89d5

BEWARE: They have a "find a better deal and we'll beat it" policy, except that they don't honor it. My in-laws called them in to have some foundation repair, after having another company in who gave a higher than expected estimate. I sat in on the Low Country salesman's visit because my in-laws are both a bit hard of hearing & they feared they might have missed something important the first time around. Low Country's salesman was very well informed and thorough, and we felt confident in all he presented. Their estimate was considerably higher than the first company, but my parents wanted to go with Low Country because they trusted the salesman. He told us about the policy and instructed us to get the first company's estimate with the same products and services, and we did. The salesman said both companies use the exact same brand products. Low Country's estimate was just over $4000 higher than the first company's. The salesman took all the documents to his boss and we expected to get a matching price, as was advertised by the salesman. The "boss" said NO they would not match that price. I pressed the salesman because we were all quite disappointed. He agreed that both estimates were for the same products and the same services. He was careful to not disparage his company, but we could tell he was not happy about this.

Sloping House Stabilized with SmartJacks Macon, GA | Oct 2018 | Doc S. of Macon, GA had a problem. One side of his house had sloped, the other raised! Cracks appeared above doors in the home, and Doc was worried about what was happening to his biggest investment. One night he saw an ad on Macon’s NBC 41 for free crawl space inspections by Lowcountry Basement Systems and called the next day for a quote. An inspector from Lowcountry Basement Systems visited Doc’s home and performed a thorough inspection inside and in the crawl space. The inspector recommended a custom solution of SmartJacks -- adjustable galvanized steel support piers to support the sinking area in Doc’s foundation -- as well as supplemental PowerBrace beams to further stabilize the subfloors of the house. Doc agreed and had the work done. He was thrilled with the results! | Macon, GA
Leaning Brick Chimney Stabilized in Macon, GA | Oct 2018 | Ken and Polly Q. of Macon, GA had a problem. Over time their chimney separated from the house and leaned at a precarious angle. One of Ken and Polly’s neighbors referred them to Lowcountry Basement Systems for a free inspection of their chimney. An inspector went to Ken and Polly’s house, examined the situation and recommended stabilizing the chimney with a Push Pier System. The galvanized steel push piers are hydraulically driven into the ground, down to the load bearing strata where the weight of the leaning chimney could be transferred from its unstable footing. Two piers were screwed into the ground at the base of the chimney. This below-grade solution hydraulically lifted the chimney back into place. The solution was perfect and it was concealed from sight. The chimney was now stabilized and Ken and Polly were thrilled! | Macon, GA
Damp, Moldy Crawl Space Encapsulated in Metter, GA | Oct 2018 | Robert B. of Metter, GA was referred by a neighbor to Lowcountry Basement Systems for sweating, sagging floors. The neighbor told Robert about the benefits of encapsulating a crawl space and thought the issues he was having with his floors could be fixed with encapsulation. Robert went online and researched the benefits on www.lowcountrybasement.com and called for a free inspection. The inspector visited Robert’s house for a thorough inspection. The inspector documented and photographed molding wood, standing water and a damp, dirty crawl space. He recommended a Complete CleanSpace Encapsulation System be installed to reduce moisture and remove the excess humidity that was causing Robert’s flooring issues. Robert agreed to have the work done. | Metter, GA
Settled Foundation in Hinesville, GA Stabilized with a Push Pier System from Lowcountry Basement Systems | Oct 2018 | Garion S. of Hinesville, GA had a problem with his settled foundation. Eleven years earlier, Garion had attempted to repair a crack in his exterior walls, but the damage progressed over time and the cracks grew. Frustrated and worried about the safety of his home, Garion asked his neighbors what he should do. They referred him to Lowcountry Basement Systems for a free inspection. An inspector from Lowcountry Basement Systems visited the home in Hinesville and noted the cracks in the exterior walls. Chunks of mortar fell from the exposed areas along the brick wall and was a hazard. The inspector recommended installing galvanized steel push piers to stabilize the home’s foundation. The piers would be hydraulically driven into the ground, down to the load bearing strata where the weight of the home could be transferred, stabilizing the foundation. | Hinesville, GA
High Humidity and Moisture no Longer a Problem in Savannah, GA Crawl Space | Oct 2018 | Jason W. of Savannah, GA had problems with rotted floor joists that needed replaced. The home was built in 1946 and Jason noticed a musty smell in his house for the whole five years he’d lived there. The floors throughout the whole house were also unlevel. Not wanting the issue to get worse, or for mold to appear upstairs, Jason’s wife called Lowcountry Basement Systems for help. An inspector from Lowcountry Basement Systems visited the home and performed a thorough inspection. He documented evidence of rodents, moisture and high humidity in the crawl space, which caused the subfloor to sag and made the floors uneven. The inspector recommended a Complete CleanSpace Encapsulation System be installed, designed to reduce moisture and remove excess humidity. | Savannah, GA
Damp, Humid Crawl Space Causing Sagging Floors Fixed in Macon, GA | Oct 2018 | Jesse S. of Macon, GA noticed sagging, sloped floors over the last year. He had lived in his home for 40 years but realized he had a problem as the floors felt different underneath his feet. His family changed their walking patterns to avoid the problem areas, but the problem caused aggravation and frustration for Jesse and those in the house. Jesse looked in his crawl space to see if he could find the problem and saw wood rot and mold. He called the experts at Lowcountry Basement Systems to take a look and tell him the full extent of the problem. An inspector from Lowcountry Basement Systems performed a thorough evaluation of Jesse’s home on the inside and in the crawl space as well. The inspector noted significant wood rot and mold, as Jesse had seen, as well as unsupported sections of subfloor as some of the beams and joists had become brittle and damaged due to the high humidity and moisture in the crawl space. The inspector recommended a custom solution of SmartJacks to support the areas of the subfloor that were damaged, and a Complete CleanSpace Encapsulation System to reduce moisture and remove excess humidity. | Macon, GA
Unsupported Foundation Fixed with SmartJacks in Musella, GA | Oct 2018 | Robin R. of Musella, GA called Lowcountry Basement Systems with a problem. During a kitchen remodel she learned her floor was unsupported beneath the home in her crawl space. The piers sank into the soft soil; the joists and beams sagged. Robin had seen and ad on Macon’s CBS 13 for Lowcountry Basement Systems for free foundation inspections so she reached out. The inspector noted there were a few areas unsupported by the sunken piers, and recommended installing a SmartJack System to support the joists and main beams underneath the home in the crawl space. Five SmartJacks were installed at key spots underneath the main beam, and Robin’s home was now safely supported from the bottom up once again! | Musella, GA |
