This homeowner had an existing tub and shower in the master bedroom that was all custom tile. The tile had constant mold and mildew issues in the grout areas that simple sealing of the tile did not stop. The husband had developed a skin allergy that went totally undiagnosed for two years. As a last ditch effort after hearing about the presence of mold creating some skin disorders in a small portion of patients, they were looking for a solution. They researched fiberglass, acrylic and then called Luxury bath by Sun Boss and found the Microban Technology ABS acrylic panels. There was no guarantee that removing the tile and eliminating the mold, mildew and bacteria would solve the skin issue, but they needed to update the old tile anyway. After the job was done the skin issue slowly went away, the client is not sure if it was removing the mold or the fact they no longer clean with strong bleaches and cleaners in the tub and shower area.
