Simple Beginnings..... I began refinishing/restoring hardwood because frankly I did not have the money to pay someone thousands of dollars to refinish the floors in my first home. An old Mission style home that I named "Eleanor". She was beautiful to me but the hardwood floors were in bad shape. I called a professional hardwood floor refinisher to give me an estimate. The amount he gave me was so high, I decided right then to do them myself. Had I ever sanded hardwood floors before - No.Nope! How did they turn out - well lets just say they were my first floors. I did however, get compliments on them. Several floors later, friends began asking me to sand and refinish their hardwood floors and I realized there was a need for anyone to be able to have beautiful floors whether the floors need installation because they are prefinished hardwood, Engineered or Laminate or if the floors need sanding and refinishing because the wood is unfinished or in bad shape. So I started a small one person Hardwood Refinishing and Installation company offering a good service at a good price. Everything from sanding, staining and finishing (site finish or refinish) to installing prefinished wood, tile or laminate/engineered floor covering. We even offer dustless refinishing wood floors without sanding. Now that I have we have been in the flooring business for over a decade, it still surprises me that a homeowner would still rather pay a large box store charging outrageous installation prices for Tile, Laminate, VCT or Prefinished Hardwood flooring.
