My wife hired Joe to do minor gutter repair and clean gutters around the house. First, he charged her outrageous amount. Did not repair anything, damaged gutters and left without even sweeping after himself. When I called the guy , he became rude and confrontational. Admitted to leaving the mess and not completing the repair but refused to come back.. Do not hire this guy for anything. Look for reliable and honest handymen.

I have used A+ Home Repairs a number of times and have been satisfied with all the work I have had done. The work was done in a timely manner and to my satisfaction. I will call them again when I need work done.

Wow, where do I start. Well - I only give them one star - because I can't give them a zero. OK, first off this review is actually for Joe Davidson and his company A+ Home Repairs, which really consists of Joe and one helper. We hired Joe to fix our house after we suffered a hot water heater flood. Joe needed to replace some siding (2-sections), remove a hot water heater and HVAC System where the flood occurred, replace some ducting, build a new surround around the new duct work, fix some drywall holes that ServPro left, re-texture those patched area's, install baseboard trim everywhere where new floors were added, paint the entire downstairs, paint up the staircase, and the upstairs hall, install new sconce lights either side of the garage, and work with the flooring contractor we hired to install new floors. Well, I wish there was a way I could show you pictures of Joe's poor work on my house. We are going to have to hire another Contractor to come here and fix everything he messed up. He only replaced 1 of the 2 sections of exterior wall that he was supposed to replace. He didn't treat the new installation area with the Mildacide he bought for the job, before he put the wall back together, because he forgot to. This, after discovering a huge patch of mold from the flood under the sections of wall he did pull down. He also completely forgot to take down and replace the entire second wall section that he was supposed to replace - it was never touched. He did the worst job we've ever seen at matching the texture on our existing walls before he painted right over it. He has more then 50 drip area's spread though out the area's he painted, some drip streaks are more then 2 feet long, still here after we'd marked them w tape and he'd supposedly fixed them. He even made us buy him 10 gallons of his 'special paint' at $200 per 5 gallon, after he wasted a whole 5 gallon drum of the 2 we had purchased for the job. Joe and his helper used 2 area's of 'OUR' backyard to clean there stuff up, and left 2 terrible messes in my yard consisting of paint and drywall crap - what pigs. One of the messes even spread into a neighbors yard too! I could just go on and on. Joe and his helper made more of a mess then they fixed. He did no fixing or touching up of anything before painting. Didn't fix any of my window sill pits that have been made over the years by our dogs, none of my door frame pits, didn't patch holes where mini-blinds had been mounted, and different blinds with different mounting hardware and hardware placement were going back up - so we had to patch those holes and paint them ourselves after Joe and his helper were off the job. He surface mounted all the wiring for the sconce lights either side of our garage, because he didn't have the ability to do the wiring correctly. So now we have 'new tubes' running all over the place on our garage ceiling and walls. What a clown. The most annoying thing was, Joe was supposed to come back and install baseboard moulding, that he had bid to do and had already been paid to paint - and instead he just tried to hide when we attempted to contact him, and when we were persistent all we ever got back was an email, not a phone call, that said "I'm not gonna be able to help you" - with no explanation at all - after taking more then $8,000 from us in less then a 2 week period of time. This has left us with having to hire another Contractor to do that part of the job. Another thing I just recently discovered was - he didn't take out a single permit to get any of my work done - and that might end up costing my wife and I money. We wrote him an email telling him all of this and asking for a partial refund of $500 to help pay for the work we have to hire another Contractor to do - and he has ignored all our attempts at contact! LOOK OUT FOR YOURSELVES AND WHATEVER YOU DO - DON'T HIRE THIS GUY OR HIS COMPANY TO DO ANYTHING FOR YOU - WE SURE WISH WE HADN'T...
