Warren Job | Jan 2012 | Homeowner wanted to convert there old garage into a living room and then add a breeze way to a new 3 car garage/ bonus room upstairs. We first converted the old garage, it went very fast framed new floor system and sheetrock walls, paint ,carpet ect. Next we dug footings foundation for new garage, you can see in the pictures we had some grading problems we had a hill with water problem we fixed by grading a swell to divert the water around the buildings. You can see also the roof trusses we used, the room was designed in the trusses to save money and time. All in all the project went great another happy customer. | $60k | Timberlake, NC | |
Harris Job | Jun 2004 | Customer wanted a metal roof on his home a log cabin. I have been doing metal roofs since 1997 I installed on my house also a log home and I love it On these pictures you can see I installed 1x4 stripping over his old shingles to allow a good solid screw point for metal it also give a insulation air barrier for metal. On this house he had a vaulted ceiling upstairs with a 3 inch insulation foam board in the attic, I didn't have a choice about the 1x4 on this job that was the only way to attach the metal to the roof. I have done some roofs with the metal right over the shingles and others I removed the shingles. This is just a customers choice I think it works well either way. this roof has been on for 10 years now it still looks good other than some fading in color which would come back with a good cleaning soap and water. I have found that Lowes metal is a good quality and trust the warranty from a national company Union Corragated Metals. Some people install cheap homemade metal from local lumber yard, I rather pay a few more pennys for better metal. | $5k | Rougemont, NC |
