Stone Tile Evolution Countertops

Was assigned this company to install countertops after purchasing through lowes. Measurement crew came out to measure the job. Serious language barrier existed. Measurements we taken I was not given any direction on anything that needed to be done. An installation date was set only to be cancelled the day before suspending the project. Voiced my concern to the company regarding my schedule said there was nothing they would do for me. Installer eventually came only to find out that the island stone was cut to the exact measurement of the plywood base therefore no standard 1.5 inch overhang. I called company who said that I signed off on the original measurements and the only form of compensation would be for me to purchase another piece for the island which I would have to pay full price for. I questioned that I thought their measurement person knew what they we doing and I had no way of knowing that his measurements were wrong as they are supposed tom be the experts. Either way I wouldn't have been able to discuss the issue with him as he didn't understand me. I understand things happen however the company is very willing to accept the poor work performance actions of their employees without trying to compensate the customer. I strongly recommend DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. There are plenty of other companies out there that will stand behind making their mistake's right.

We had a great experience. Fast response and installation, competitive price and excellent communication. Our Contact was David and he was on top of every aspect of the project. We replaced two counters in our kitchen, a total of about 25' of Soap Stone 3cm material. They came in and measured, made templates, fabricated at their facility with state of the art saws (we got a tour because we wanted to see how the templates would be placed on the material to enhance the "grain" pattern.) Installation was perfect, and the crew did a great job of preparation, detailing the counter and cleanup of the area. There focus was on pleasing us and being sure we were happy with all aspects of the job. Also noted that a prior review indicated that the contractors license had expired. We checked and it is current.

I had kitchen counters replaced with granite slabs and new tile backsplash. Also had fireplace mantel and some cut outs replaced with granite. Unfortunately I cannot not recommend this company to family or friends due to many mistakes and lack of attention to detail and quality of work. Due to poor communication and language barriers some of the work that was started had to be redone due to operator error and not listening to what we the customer expected . They are of no help with design questions or ideas and found this out after we had already signed the contract and paid a deposit.
