All Around Handyman

Took the money and ran. We originally agreed to a quote of $400-$600 to tape, mud, texture and paint a portion of ceiling and two walls as well as put end caps to a couple of cabinets. They taped, mudded, and sloppily screwed on two pieces of plywood to the cabinets. Got paid $500, and haven't returned a single text or phone call to either finish the job or refund us the difference. I've given him a couple of days to get back to us, but he's gone from very responsive, to MIA. That speaks volumes of Andre as a business person if he values a couple hundred dollars more than his reputation. He's also a real estate agent, and my wife and I were interested in making an offer on one of his $1M properties while using him as our agent. It's better we learned about his true character now than with a massive transaction like purchasing a home. In regards to the workmanship, NOT GOOD! Very poor job mudding. They left large clumps and streaks that I'll have to sand off to fix. They also left a mess in our kitchen and in the backyard, and left screws scattered on the front patio. There are a lot of good people willing to do good honest work. Andre isn't one of them.
