| Front yard makeover | Apr 2015 | My client wanted something that was low maintenance, and still have a little bit of lawn. He liked the idea of rock and giving the yard some flow to it. The color made the lawn really pop. The grass we used is perfect for the drought. We used a emerald fescue, requires little watering, can withstand heavy foot traffic and high heat. This was a three day project costing only $600 for labor! 5 yards of Sonoma small rock, 450 sqft of sod, a poly pipe sprinkler system installed, weed fabric, and bender board. Sod costed somewhere around $200, other materials besides rock costed around $300. For around $1500 you can have a low maintenance yard and still keep a lawn. | $1k | Citrus Heights, CA |
