BER has been servicing Southwest Michigan since 1986. Its founder and CEO is Bruce Edward Ringer. Bruce began his career serving our fine country in the United States Navy, where he served on the USS Francis Scott Key submarine during the Vietnam conflict. After receiving an honorable discharge from the Navy in 1969, Bruce moved his family of three to the midwest where he worked for a large commercial refrigeration company. In 1972 Bruce moved to the sunset coast, where he worked 15 years for a mechanical contractor, becoming the lead technician and serving a number of satisfied customers to this day. In April, 1986 BER Refrigeration, Heating & Cooling was formed. It started out with Bruce and his son Steve who was graduating from high school. Steve started the apprentice program in which he served 5 years. To Bruce's surprise business started to take off. Before he knew it was time to bring on some highly qualified mechanics, to serve the growing clientele. Every technician that works for BER has been either has a degree from a college accredited program or has served the 5 year apprenticeship program and in a few cases both. In 1999 Bruce saw the opportunity to add plumbing as another service for BER to offer. Since then BER has completed a number of hotels, schools along with your every day run of the mill plumbing jobs.
