Howard Johnson Jr. Started his business, from Renovation. Restoration,Antiques workroom his twin brother Paul operated after being in the Antiques business. Seeing a need to restore antiques. He opened his shop. At 3906 Laclede Ave. when the city came back to a era of renovating older homes. Howard saw the need to Reupholster the furniture, Paul would subcontract out. After attending Metro Business college, Howard went on to work at Alan Littles shop. And went on to Bachman’s Upholstery in Brentwood. In. 1986 He opened his own shop on Kingshighway. Along the way he had a opportunity to teach at St. Louis Community college. And helped at Florissant upholstery school in the old Sears bldg. another opportunity to teach disabled veterans, Howard began to do work for the United States postal service vehicles, Macy’s. Schweig Engel Furniture, Rothmans. IMC. BelleMidwest Furniture. And on to many fine restaurants, Fox Theater, St.Louis university. St.Louis Rams. And Blues.,1988 he had a chance to do many projects for the St.Louis Baseball Cardinals., and went to the new Stadium in 2006. To 2018 they have been a great company to do business with. In 2019 our core focus is taking care of customers, like The Old Spaghetti Factory, Pasta House. Ritz -Carlton. The Hilton’s, Renaissance hotels. Howard Johnson’s Reupholstery projects. Can be seen in almost every industry of business in St Louis, And Metro East. We travel to others states to restore church furnishings. After 35 years we are a part of St. Louis.
