  | Historic Old NE Backyard Update | May 2010 | In keeping with the owner's desire for creating an inviting and comfortable space for entertaining, the new courtyard was paved with concrete tiles installed over a concrete slab. Tropical landscape beds were incorporated in the slab and a gorgeously tiled fountain provides additional seating. All is lit romantically with energy-saving LED lighting, custom designed for the space. There is also a handsome masonry grill island with a precast concrete countertop. A second precast cabinet topped with a precast counter with integrated sink, serves as part of this gorgeous outdoor summer kitchen. Both cooking and cleanup areas feature custom wood doors that match the adjacent side gate and new perimeter fencing. | $90k | St Petersburg, FL |
  | Bayshore Remodel | Jan 2007 | This project evolved from a partial kitchen remodel to a full house makeover. Our first task was to replace a poorly designed kitchen island to improve the work area and to add a wet bar. This work was simple enough to use a marked-up set of the original plans for permit. The owners also wanted a wine cellar built in an under-stair closet. We gutted the closet, installed a vapor barrier, a foam insulation system, and a commercial refrigeration unit. We designed and site-built a cedar shelf system that maximized the storage area in the three 45' angled sections of the closet. We installed a new arch-top door with insulated glass. Pleased with the outcome, the owners wanted to continue with additional improvements to the house. They wanted to accomplish the following: - Unify the exterior with a European theme; - Create an office by enclosing an upstairs balcony; - Change the master bedroom; and - Create a porch by the pool. | $700k | St Petersburg, FL |
