Our non-profit hired Carolina Home Restoration to do several major jobs on a home we were restoring. We were very pleased with the work and glad we hired them. Ken was great to work with and responded to any questions we had very quickly. He was reasonably priced and his crew cleaned up after themselves, which was so helpful. We will definitely call him in the future whenever we have further remodeling needs.

Carolina Home Restoration put a new furnish in our home. We could not have asked for better service. Ken and his workers were polite and efficient. They did a wonderful job and the price was the best we could find. We would definitely call Carolina Home Restoration if we need anything else done. Ken and his workers are the best.

Having Ken and Jay do a simple remodeling job in our home was the worst experience of our lives. We needed a closet, two doors closed and exterior door added. The project started out behind schedule and never caught up. Jay, the carpenter and electrician and only worker, showed up sporadically, came and went at will. The work on most part was slipshod. When we complained repeatedly about the quantity and quality of the work, Jay said we were bitching. He also had a lot of cursing comments as he packed his tools to leave. Both parties agreed to end the contract early. We now have to find a new contractor to install our front door. We wanted it to end for many reasons. I think Jay did sloppy work because the job here ran behind schedule and he would make more money when he started the next job. Mistakes and sloppy work was only corrected when Ken came on site and stood over him. I am on FB, contact me if you need more info. I have more to tell, plus photos. Do not make the same mistake we did by using this company. My sister and I were sorely disappointed with the work and integrity and professionalism of the company and employees. My sister, the person who hired this company, has Fuchs Distrophy, which means she doesn't see all that well to write a review on the computer. She did sign the determination of service agreement with Ken. She is in complete agreement with any comments made about the experience with this company and the quality of work. Stating that I had OCD was a joke. I have not been diagnosed. 😀 The work did take a long time to complete, not because of changes, which were recommended by Ken, but because of the hours put in by Jay. We were disappointed by the door color because we did not realize it was white, until antique white was painted on the trim. No one I know wanted two different colors of white. The time did not make a difference. Jay spent 15 min. One day convincing me that he needed to sand and paint old mounding to put in the closet because it matched closely with the rest. I said we paid for new, it would be faster to use new and it did not matter as the closet was being used for storage. He did not give up and I acquiesced. The breaking point was when replacement baseboards were put in higher than their older counterparts and trim was painted without filling nail holes first. We were told that they painted first so flaws would show up better. Any excuse they could think of. I may have been insulting and said negatives remarks toward the end, and my sister did too, because we were stressed and worn out from dealing with Carolina Homes Restoration. Believe me, they gave better than they got. As I've stated before, I have saved pics, emails and text, plus a list of excuses used by Jay when he did not show up for work or was late. They range from dog having fleas to ear wax problems. I'm sorry Mr. Weaver is upset by my review, but I told the truth. I am 68 and my sister is 73, we didn't just get off the boat. We both worked professional jobs before we retired.

I can't say enough good about Ken and his crew - they are the best. Would not think of using anybody else.
