Long Leaf Pine Restoration and Installation | Oct 2015 | A historic home in Boerne was being restored and remodeled. They needed Long Leaf Pine for repairs to the existing house and enough pine to install in the 550 sf Family Room. They also needed pine timbers to make treads for their new stairs to the second floor. We located the necessary flooring and large 13" x 2" reclaimed pine timbers for the stair treads. We made repairs throughout the house, installed the stairs to the family room, made thick timber treads for the open stair to the second floor and refinished the floors old and new. One challenge we over came was a family room on an existing slab that was 3" out of level. We worked with the builder, Sandera Homes to overcome the issue. The second challenge was to find enough reclaimed pine that would match the flooring in the historic bungalow. The stair treads were milled from reclaimed beams from a historic building in downtown San Antonio, former home of Fernanda's Cafe that was raised in 2012 due to a fire. Other pine timbers were from the famous Joskes Building next to the Alamo. Once we had located all the material, the installation and finishing were completed in under 4 weeks. We helped the builder and owner meet their move in deadline. | $20k | Boerne, TX
Top of Broadway Skylight Replacement | Aug 2015 | Removal of old leaking skylights, replacement of roof framing and decking, building of curbs, skylight installation at the former L'EToile Restaurant location. | $7k | Alamo Heights, TX
Learning RX Roof Replacement and Finishout | Jul 2015 | We provided design and building for a tenant finish-out for the owner and client in 2012 and replaced the V-crimp roof with standing seam in 2015. The owner had had a problem with the leaking V-Crimp metal roof. The screws had been replaced at least twice. Some roofing was rusting through. We replaced it with a Standing Seam Galvalume Metal Roof system. We removed the stucco on the dormer so the windows could be replaced and installed Hardiplank siding in its place. We installed all necessary flashing at the dormers and solved a long standing problem. | $24k | San Antonio, TX
Bathroom Remodel | Jul 2015 | The floor and framing in this second floor bathroom were rotting and about to fall through. We removed the old floor and repaired the flooring and wiring below the floor. We then replaced the newer pine floor with reclaimed Long Leaf Pine flooring, refinished the tub and reinstalled the original stained base. | $4k | San Antonio, TX
Reclaimed Brick Patio and Oak Flooring Installation | Sep 2014 | The client had significant water flowing under their home. We regraded the back yard, hauled off excess soil and installed the herringbone brick patio where the stoop had been. The brick we used was reclaimed, cleaned and transported from another project we were working on at the time. We also installed reclaimed Oak flooring in the client's master suite. The floor was brought from a house in Terrell Hills that was scheduled to be demolished. We also re-pointed the stone exterior of the house and repaired the interior plaster walls. | $39k | San Antonio, TX
Herff Farm Interior Restoration | Jul 2014 | Restoration of historic farm house owned by the Cibolo Nature Center in Boerne. The house was built in the 1860's. We restored the interior and installed a new roof. The project included moving of walls, installation and restoration of reclaimed floors, bead board ceilings, plaster finishes, and painting. We carefully installed all new electrical, plumbing and state of the art mechanical systems in the existing historic structure with as little impact on the historic character of the house as possible. We reinstalled much of the original doors, plumbing fixtures, materials and flooring from the original house to maintain the classic style of the home. The home now functions as a meeting space and event venue for the Herff Farm and Cibolo Nature Center. It is open to view during the Farmer's Market, each Saturday from 8 am till 12, most months of the year. | $324k | Boerne, TX
Eldon Balcony Waterproofing and Water Damage Repairs | Oct 2013 | We removed the Saltillo tile flooring on the balcony, waterproofed the balcony, removed and reinstalled doors to install the waterproofing up under the doors. We installed new tile floor on the balcony with a waterproof membrane, removed the water damaged wood flooring in the sun room below the balcony and installed a reclaimed oak floor. We finally repaired plaster, paint and water stained walls, and dried the interior space out. | $49k | Terrell Hills, TX
Shade Kitchen Remodel | Aug 2015 | Design and building of a kitchen remodel in a small space. We were able to reuse most of the cabinets. We carved into a 2 x 6 wall to gain a couple of inches needed to make the refrigerator fit. The worn pine floors are being replaced with reclaimed oak. Installation of a farmhouse sink with a commercial faucet. | San Antonio, TX
Wiltshire Water Damage Repairs and Floor Finishing | May 2015 | The clients had a leak in their kitchen. It ruined a section of their Pecan flooring. The flooring went throughout the downstairs. We dried out the floor with dehumidification systems, arranged for the clients moving to temporary housing, packed and moved their appliances and furniture, disconnected the island and moved it to another part of the house to allow for a complete refinishing of the floor. We repaired the damaged section of floor and refinished the floor. We then reinstalled the island, appliances and coordinated their move back into the home. The entire process took less than 2 months. | $34k | Terrell Hills, TX |
