A&D Home Repair and remodeling

Torn between 1 star and 2. We hired A&D to remove and install new baseboard trim throughout our home, as well as a few minor floor and fence repairs. We were quoted $1440 for 3 days of trim labor and supplied trim material ourselves. On day 5, we were contacted to let us know the team’s quote was WAY off - $2700 was due that day, which was their discounted rate for the week, and they were less than 1/2 way done with the project. They quoted another $3000 to $4000 to finish the project, or told us they understood if we found someone else to finish the job. Now, we get to move into our new home this weekend that is missing trim in half of the house and is filthy. I’m disappointed because the work that was completed looked pretty good, hence the 2 stars, but that is some terrible quoting, business management and customer relations. I get that mistakes happen, but charging 5x what the original quote was is NEVER acceptable.

Unfortunately, I have to update my review on A & D repair. after initial project, we decided to hire Daniel from A &D repair to do some work in our kitchen. Daniel was not up for the project. He accepted the job and kept on stalling about when he would show up to start the project. he would schedule and call to tell me he couldn't make it as he had an offer on a bigger project. His motto is "Big Money"m I understand the fact of being able to make a living but you commit , you produce. When he finally showed, he came with his teenage daughter who needed to earn money and took her up as his apprentice. Well, Daniel bills you by the hour, so a project that was to take a few hrs, dragged into days, as he repeatedly had to monitor or redo what his daughter did. All in all, I was billed over for a project that never really started or finished. His phone rang off the hook, with personal and business calls in between while on the clock. It is funny, that when I needed him to start the job it was a challenge to get hold of him but while on my job he had the time to go for big money! Hopefully, he is better organized and has sought help for calls and such.

Daniel is very courteous and attentive. He will work with any budget and recommend the best for your buck!! We have had him do several projects in the past month or so and couldn't be happier!! Prices are very reasonable.

Daniel with A&D Home Repair was great! He repaired a door frame for us which turned out better than our builder's work. He was efficient, professional, and explained everything he did. We will definitely be hiring him for other work in the future!
