Don’t Hire REED’S LANDSCAPE DESIGN AND TREE SERVICE ... If, you enjoy being dooped then, hire this so-called landscaping company. Mr. Isaiah Reed walked out on the job twice; ultimately keeping $3,500 of our hard earned money, in cash. First time, Mr. Reed walked, he was upset because we purchased premium flagstone i.e., 2 1/4” thick, after he told us to buy 2-3” thick. Stones sat there for 5 days before he showed up and finally demanded an additional $1,000 for having to work with “thicker stone”, in which I paid in cash that very same day, in addition to that issue on that day, only because I needed him back to finish. Isaiah grew even more upset because my husband shared concern pertaining to the first step being too flush with the sidewalk, as there are building codes of a minimum of 4” at an entry step and needed to be redone. Reed and Mark, his sidekick, and only crew member, (oh, and let’s not forget to give a shout out to Jennifer, his aspiring assistant, who handles the commercial side of the business! Lol) finally returned 6 days later to find that my husband had installed the remaining steps all by himself because he wanted it done correctly. Then, he wasted an hour of my life trying to lecture me about liability because of the step being fixed and the rest placed by my spouse. Isaiah Reed told my husband to stay the **ck out of his way, as in to leave stuff alone and walked off of the job one last and final time, on a Sunday. Evil doesn’t care where or when it sins...not even on a Sunday. As he was leaving, I inquired about the money that we had paid, which was over half of the total; Isaiah Reed replied, that’s if there’s any money left over especially with court fees and so forth. They showed up 3 times in 2 weeks and worked a total of 7 hours total. I own a garden home and yard is tiny. All they accomplished, was kill the lawn by weed whacking it, plant 10 Japanese Boxwood each in a quart container and 10 Yaupon Holly Dwarf’s in gallon containers each. The Yaupon, we paid for them to bring and to plant. The Japanese Boxwood, we purchased on our own and paid for them to plant. We paid for the lawn to be leveled with soil, he only had 2 cubic yards delivered when we needed 13 cubic yards. He was paid for 1 pallet of sod, 3 5’-6’ Italian Cypress and 3 Burning Bush, which we never saw. He was also paid to install 4 hickory stone steps along with a grouted flagstone walkway in which they only installed 1 step/riser and broke up a couple of flagstone slabs to create the 1 tread. This so-called landscape company did not have the equipment that was needed, not even a level. Nor did they ever touch the flagstone after I paid them the additional $1,000. This sorry excuse for a human being, Mr. Reed claims to have PTSD and to have been abused as a child; hmmmmm, I am seriously doubting that to be true. He is a psychopath, a master manipulator, a wolf in sheep’s clothing. You will be better off with someone way more qualified, in need of an honest living, at a day labor service or downtown, on Houston Street. There are zero Google Reviews, Facebook has a few and two of them entail my experience, Reed’s is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau but does have a couple of reviews there, which in my opinion are more than likely bogus. By the way, we have camera’s in our yard that captured every action and words said. Thank you so very much for reading!

Reed's Landscaping did an amazing job for my front lawn. After responding to me quickly, he listened to what we had in mind and right away provided me with a price quote and timeframe expectations. I knew I had come to the right guy for my project. The outcome actually exceeded my expectations. They built over a 25ft landscape border, 2 tree ring borders, cleared up the brush, dug up old grass and weeds, added new soil and installed new St. Augustine grass sods on the whole front yard, AMAZING! We have gotten so many compliments on our yard. I even think this helped my house go up in value. I am so happy with their work. I highly recommend them. Great Job Mr Reed, you have an amazing crew!

After interviewing several landscapers I decided to hire Reed. Reed and his crew are well worth the money and then some. I had an idea or vision of what I wanted and I pitched it to read and he helped me bring it to life. He worked well within my budget and at each turn when I wanted to make a change he was honest with me about the budgeting. I am well satisfied that I extended my budget and allowed Reed and his crew the freedom to help me bring my vision to life. He kept me informed every step of the way and even was comfortable enough to disagree with me on a design and explain why not which made perfect sense. There is no doubt that I would hire Reed and his crew again in fact I have a large backyard and I plan on hiring them within the next few months to help me complete my backyard Oasis.
