Backyard Dreamscapes

Mike Groves stole $6,879.60 from me. I'm a single mom with a special needs child. We got this money from charities and hired Backyard Dreamscapes to build a therapy tub. He made up excuses during the pandemic about why the tub was taking months and months to arrive. But it never arrived. He even said that he would not cash the check he got until the tub arrived. Then I found out that he had cashed it immediately and never ordered the tub at all. Meanwhile, my child just kept declining because the insurance companies don't allow sufficient therapy sessions to help at all. MIKE GROVES IS A THIEF AND THE POLICE WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

We hired Michael to rehab our hot tub in April 2016 (install new jets, build a deck around it. To date, he has completed NONE of the work for which we paid him. He has offered to refund the money he owes us, but has not in spite of my threat to sue him in small claims court. This business is disreputable. Do not hire them, ever. You'll just lose your money.

The owner (Mike) was very knowledgeable. He was punctual, and very respectful. He listened to my concerns and gave the best advise instead of the advise that will cost the most. Budget was a major concern and without me even mentioning that to him his suggestions were always the most cost effective solution. I will use him again in the future and confidently refer Backyard Dreamscapes. DaMarus Seahorn
