Painter - San Diego, CA
I want to provide a different painting / home-improvement experience. One that put's the customer back in the driver's seat throughout the duration of a project. An experience where quality of work is always placed above all else. If more time is needed for something to get done the right way, for either construction code, or the wishes of the customer - Then more time is what will be allocated. I strive to establish, & maintain an open relationship with my customers while progressing through a project. Customers are not able to stand-by, and watch, while every second of work is being done to their home; life simply won't allow it. I want to be able to give that back to the customer; by upholding a policy of complete disclosure of everything that transpires while on any size job, or project. Video, photographs, and written reports/documentation will be utilized daily, and made available to the customer upon request, or for longer projects, such items may be submitted progressively. Each project brings its own challenges, not problems, and working directly with the customer every step of the way is how both parties will complete the job with mutual satisfaction. I believe in realistic, and affordable pricing; especially while the economy is still recovering. I provide with each and every project: Full labor-cost & material-expense break-downs w/ analysis. Project receipts, literature, manuals, other pertinent information, etc. A One (1) - Year Limited Warranty for all work / procedures performed by B2Q C & F. Lastly, every customer will receive at the end of the project, a complete & fully detailed 'Close-Out Package.' I prefer to approach every project with enthusiasm, ambition, and a positive attitude. I've found, that mentality - is what produces the best work-environment; and the most impressive final results.

Interior Re-Paint ~ Residential | Oct 2014 | New Home-Owners Nick & Michelle Mahood of Murrieta, Ca. Had recently purchased a new home for their family and wanted the entire interior to receive a fresh coat of paint; as well as some custom colors. All work was to be completed prior to them moving into the house. The house was a two-story, 4-bedroom; 3-bath, tract home. All interior walls were a standard white throughout, and we're changed to a tannish / beige color from Behr @ Home Depot called "Baja." The upper-mantle of the fireplace in the living room was painted a dark brown, "Chocolate Swirl," and their daughter's room was painted x2 shades of purple. Lower half of room was lighter than the top, as "Lavish Lavender," while the upper half of the room went a dark "Black Tulip." We also re-painted all the baseboard on the first floor, x4 doors, and all the window sills. The only issues we had during this project were in the planning / scheduling. A few things occured that impacted production time and we ended up having to work & finish the project while the customer began moving in. Aside from some cluttered working conditions, this project went smoothly and was completed in roughly four days. | $2k | Murrieta, CA

Residential Re-Paint ~ Interior | Aug 2014 | Keith & Janine Indorf had just purchased a house for their family in the city of Lake Elsinore, Ca. It was a two-story, five bedroom; three bath, tract home w/ a three-car garage. Our agreement dictated that nearly the entire interior of the house was to receive new paint. Everything except the kitchen, that was found to contain heavy mold / molding which needed to be properly abated, and removed by a specialist. All the ceilings & closets received paint as well, along with the walls & baseboard. The existing color on the walls was the typical white, or off-white of some sort - there was a significant amount of surface repair & substrate preparation for this project. The only issue encountered on this job was on the first floor, family room ceiling. It was obvious this ceiling had popcorn texturing, and at some point it had been removed, poorly. There was also an area of ceiling / wall that had suffered water damage at some point, from a fairly decent sized leak that, once the pipe was fixed, the drywall had been repaired very poorly. I repaired and corrected these issues with no extra cost to the customer. All materials were provided by Dunn-Edwards Paints, and financed / procured separately, by the homeowner. B2Q C&F invoiced 'Labor' costs only for this project. | $2k | Lake Elsinore, CA

Interior Re-Paint ~ Residential | Jul 2014 | Robert & Nicole Garvito purchased a house in Murrieta, Ca. Before moving in, they made it of the utmost priority, to have the interior of their new home painted to their liking. I did a brief walk-through, and color / product consultation with them one afternoon in early July. Once the products, and colors, were finalized, I spent the remainder of that evening purchasing materials; to get started on their project the following day. The house was a two-story, four-bedroom; three-bath, tract home. We had agreed that nearly the entire interior of the house was going to receive new paint; with the only exceptions being the master bedroom / bathroom, the second-floor bathroom, and the garage. This job was strictly walls only, no baseboard, no ceilings, closets, etc. The living room and kitchen went a light yellow, while the remainder of the house was to be a brownish-gray color; with the exception of the two reflecting accent walls on the second floor clerestory windows & hallway - both of which were painted a light blue. The only challenging aspect of this job in particular was its vaulted ceilings. Not that I hadn't done many a vaulted ceiling before in the past, but this one was uniquely difficult in that a large amount of vaulted wall existing in areas not safely accessible with any ladder, or extension ladder. In the end, those areas wound up having to be cut-in from a distance with an extension pole and brush-attachment. Exercising extreme caution and precision as to not hit the unpainted ceiling made this part of the project particularly unnerving & tedious. Some materials were provided by Sherwin-Williams Paints & some through Dunn-Edwards Paints, and were procured by the customer at their expense. B2Q C&F billed for 'Labor' only on this project. The project was complete in just under two weeks calendar time, with roughly 46 hours of actual work-time. | $1k | Murrieta, CA

Provisions of utilities and landscaping were also part of the project. Materials were supplied by Sherwin-Williams Paints - more specifically the Riverside location off Indiana Ave. All mats. ran roughly somewhere between $65k - $70k for the entire project. I was the on-site foreman for the A.J. Fistes Corporation for the duration of Phase #1 for this project. Directly oversaw / supervised all painting work & activities. I was also responsible for quality control, work coordination between project management, & other trade contractors. Ensured the proper materials, & their correct quantities; made it to the job-site efficiently, and effectively as needed. It was also expected of me to stay up-to-date on any/all necessary paperwork. | $178k | Riverside, CA |
