Geddes Ulinskas Architects has built a strong reputation in the Bay Area with design projects that have an emphasis on materials and detail. The unique quality of our design work is often a result of our ability to understand our clients and help them realize their goals. Creating active dialogue with clients, contractors, construction managers and other design consultants is the hallmark of our practice. Geddes Ulinskas Architects strives to work not just as problem solvers, but as leaders in the team approach. Design is enriched by Dialogue. We recognize the value that all the partners in a construction process offer, and understanding this allows us to deliver excellence while building the strong relationships vital for the realization of a client's goal. Years of experience have taught us how to understand the ways vision, skill and resources shape a design project as principle elements. What makes every project unique is the dialogue between the designer and the client that translates these parameters into physical form.

New Construction | May 2007 | This ten thousand square foot residence commands a panoramic view of Sonoma Valley from the West Sonoma Mountains. Harmony with the natural environment was a key objective of the design. Veneer stone walls and reclaimed redwood siding combined to give the project a rustic elegance and worked to weave the mass of the structure into its hillside setting. Windows, skylights and light courts all work together to provide a constant connection with the outside environment from every room in the house. | $13 | Sonoma, CA | |
