About Applegate Tran Interiors
Applegate Tran founders and principal designers Vernon Applegate and Gioi Tran are both based in San Francisco, where the firm was founded in 1998. Vernon Applegate was educated at The University of the Arts, in Philadelphia, where he received a B.S. in Architectural Studies, and has done additional coursework through the University of California. He worked for several notable interiors design firms in Los Angeles and San Francisco prior to opening ATI. Gioi Tran received a B.A. in Interior Design from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. He is recognized for his expertise in kitchen and bath design, and is frequently interviewed in industry publications. Gioi has served as a board member for Northern California Chapter of NKBA.

| San Francisco Loft | The client chose this property located in a historical building of San Francisco for the view and the wonderful feeling of real loft living. The bone of the home offers the two story high ceiling, wonderful floor-to-ceiling windows and the exposed mechanics in the ceiling. The barebones loft was in need of bringing in strong architectural elements to create a dynamic background for the furniture and artwork. The client’s desire to create a sophisticated environment while maintaining the loft details was a key element in the overall design concept.
