This hall bathroom once offered a cramped layout and dated mid-century tile and fixtures which encouraged the clients to want a more open feel while emphasizing a vintage look and allowing for modern amenities. Relocating the tub to under the windows allowed for a more open and inviting space. The vintage inspired lighting, plumbing fixtures, tile and details such as replicating the crafted mill-work, installing push button switches and glass door and cabinet knobs, transformed this bathroom into its intended vintage charm.

This engaging family of five desired a new White kitchen equipped with updated appliances, efficient lighting, durable finishes, an added pantry, and an overall open feeling while becoming a backdrop worthy of their frequent entertaining. The carefully considered furniture style cabinetry, subtle classic herringbone pattern and warm wood flooring underfoot nod to an era of elegance while remaining comfortable and approachable. This original fourth bedroom was underutilized as square footage in this beautiful home; with a hobby of music and love of movies, the home owners decided to create the ideal home theatre usable as a listening room and family movie space. Sourcing a variety of materials such as the maple triangle diffusers to triangulate the rooms sound perfectly and layered lighting such as the LED and fiber optics for ambiance and function achieved the necessary requirements the home owners requested. The large hidden door and side bookcases, custom created to coordinate to the high end speakers, was designed not only for storage and to give a private cool entrance but inadvertently opened up a zone for a lobby area. *2014 NARI META Gold Award
