Modern Master

Jun 2015

We took a dated yellow and tiled master bathroom and turned it into a modern room getaway anyone would like to settle in to after a long day. This master bathroom is a now relaxing space for the owners of this home. The free standing soaker tub is a focal point in this bathroom with its chrome floor mounted tub filler and built in diverter plus hand shower. The once tiled counter space now has beautiful white quartz and custom cabinetry along with two sinks for him and her. The pivot mirrors add a modern elegance to the room with their squared edges and chrome finish. The chrome lighting and fixtures add to the contemporary look of this master bathroom. The shower has beautiful contrasting light and dark mosaic tiles that cascade down the side giving a waterfall effect. This once dated and snug master bathroom now offers a lot of open space for the owners of this modern master retreat.

Tailored Retreat

Jun 2014

The back side of this retired couple’s home was completely reorganized to better utilize the space. They desired a large curbless shower and tailored storage with aging in place in mind. The finishes and design elements that were integrated was inspired by a high end resort that they visited on a weekend retreat. The airy radiance that eludes from this reconfigured lustrous escape incorporates the perfect ambiance of privacy and luxury.

Moroccan Jewel

Apr 2013

Originally, this professional couple simply desired the addition of a bay window bench in the master bedroom to create additional storage. What started off as a relatively small project quickly transformed into a complete master suite remodel encompassing the bedroom and bathroom. The couple was eager to have a completely new design that would give them a retreat like feeling for the two of them to enjoy together. This new environment would entail better space planning, technology, more storage, eastern influences and a bathroom incorporating additional amenities. After careful review of the client's needs and plans for their future, it was apparent that an adjacent existing second bathroom didn't serve them well and that space could be better utilized if incorporated into the master bathroom. Two of the three original bedrooms on the top floor had already been converted to an office and a large dressing room leaving the second bathroom unused. After a lot of detailed design and planning, the once 3 bed 2 bath third floor of this hill side home was finally able to hold up to its new name and a 'Sweet Suite' was created.

A Family Affair

May 2012

This inviting and expansive space encompasses the client's long-time desire to host quality family gatherings, which up until now has never been possible. The traditional compartmentalized floor plan of this original 1950's built home lent little poise when time came for entertaining. With little more than a dinette located within the small kitchen, the clients opted to move furniture about the house and in from the garage whenever they had family over for dinner. Some solutions incorporated into the design include opening up all of the spaces and creating visual separations. Custom cabinetry was designed to create spacious work stations, allow for the cook(s) to interact with guests and double as an open barrier from traffic traveling to adjacent spaces. The use of light and airy finishes combined with dark wood floors help make this small home feel large and expansive as well as warm and inviting. The overall kitchen footprint was expanded by redirecting the foyer and allowing the kitchen to spill out into the family room. Further space was created by transforming the original family room into a dining room and eliminating the dinette to allow additional space for the kitchen to expand. The design of this whole house remodel is highlighted by the open concept of the kitchen which has become the focal point of the home. A formal dining room, living room and formal foyer surrounds the kitchen creating an expansive floor plan built with beautiful colors, textures and finishes that represent a space fit for a family affair.
