Redesign of front yard following septic drain field replacement. Goal was to minimize use of sod and to use attractive, drought tolerant plants with shallow roots to avoid future septic troubles. I knew Scott from previous Spring clean ups/mulching of my yard - proper pruning of plants, care and detail work as if was his own property. From start to finish it was a pleasure to work with Scott on the redesign of the front yard. During the planning phase I showed Scott pictures of landscape elements I liked, and he produced a beautiful design that was better than I could have imagined. To top it off the actual install of the landscaping is more than I had expected - it is gorgeous and I smile every time I see or think about my front yard 😊 Scott is excellent with communication - he discusses the dates that each phase will occur, and confirms the dates as each phase approaches. During the process, he is flexible about plant choices, materials, etc and ensures the final design is acceptable prior to install. Scott's team was a pleasure to work with. They are respectful, and quietly go about their business - no yelling back and forth, no goofing off. Even when unloading heavy rocks it was pretty quiet! I could see that they cared about the work they were doing, as they properly placed plants in the ground, and carefully choose stone placement for a rock path. From annual yard clean ups to the front yard landscaping, Scott has exceeded my expectations each time. I believe you will be thrilled with the work Scott does on a landscaping project for you.

I cannot recommend Scott and Earthwise enough. I first reached out to Scott last summer about having a complete re-sod of our yard. It was in bad shape and overrun with weeds from the previous owners not keeping up on it. We ended up having to hold off due to other projects and when I reached back out this year Scott picked right up where we left off. He is responsive, thorough, takes the time to explain all options, and very knowledgable. He and his crew take extra time cleaning out and then preparing the soil for the new sod, something almost nobody else I spoke with wanted to to. Others simply spray the old grass and weeds and throw the new on top. Scott's team spent two full days just making sure everything was cleaned out and prepped before the sod showed up. Careful placement and care after. They are methodical and do everything possible to ensure the sod takes and survives. I have seen many other "quick jobs", and often times they fail. Scott guarantees his work and for a reason. Post installation Scott and team are always a quick call away with any questions and proactively reach out to check in and make sure you are following the steps to establish. Bottom line, these guys are good. Really good!

Landscape Design and Install, Palm Scrub clean out Winter Springs | Sep 2015 | We designed the front and entrance landscape. But firs our client wanted to start with the palm scrub clean out on this large property. Wooded areas were allowed to become overgrown, homeowner wanted to clean up without equipment. We hand trimmed these palms and trees to give the client a manicured look. Have a look at before/after you will have a hard time even recognizing the property! We often get called for clean out of overgrown areas and neglected landscapes. Our style, as you see here, is detailed and very high end. Our estimates for this work are always higher than amateur landscapers, but our clients are absolutely blown away by the results. Our clients reaction was: "We have lived here 15 years and we never knew it could look that good." We believe this approach saves you money overall by doing the job right the first time, no shortcuts. UPDATED 1 Week later. When we were done with the clean out, he approved the replacement of the entrance and front yard landscaping around the home. Next we'll be installing an English sitting garden on the west side and a outdoor kitchen, fireplace, and arbor on the east side along the water. | $11k | Winter Springs, FL
Downtown Orlando Dry River Bed | Aug 2015 | Front yard had a unique challenge in that a large mound was created due to septic tank and drain field replacement. Back yard also had a drainage issue that directed runoff into patio. We put pen to paper, applied creativity which resulted in a eye catching design that resolved the issue of the front yard by turning it into a feature. We stabilized the mound with a low wall, added ground cover plants, sod, and a dry river bed to redirect runoff. Back yard was properly graded for drainage and low impact butterfly friendly plants were used, with a lawn tough enough to handle 3 dogs! | $17k | Orlando, FL
Landscape bed refurbishment and installation of loose rock | Aug 2015 | Client had started a project that included the removal of old plants, install of new, and then application of a rock bed. After some time, they called us in to help. We recommended and installed good plants and helped with the delivery and spreading of the rock. | $6k | Lake Mary, FL
Winter Springs FL planting bed refresh and renew | Jul 2015 | Our clients completed indoor renovations and had little funds leftover for the landscape. We were able to evaluate existing trees, plants, and lawn to determine what could be saved and what needed replacing. By taking the time to do this, we saved our client 1,000s. These folks also had drainage and flooding problems up near the garage due to poor gutter placement. We took note and made proper recommendations before starting the project. This way we were able to add the fix at minimal costs. We upgraded the irrigation system to drip and installed tough plants that appealed to our clients. They saved enough to buy the main component they really wanted, that beautiful fountain. We take a consultation approach to landscaping if required, and if it suits you better we will take the time to discuss options and strategy before starting the project. | $4k | Winter Springs, FL
Shade garden design and install where the grass never grew... | Jul 2015 | Our client asked for plants adapted to the shady conditions seen here. He liked the idea of ferns but also wanted accent plants with flowers and others with year round foliage contrast and interest. | $4k | Winter Springs, FL
Backyard poolside retreat and butterfly sanctuary | Jun 2015 | After attending our landscape planning work shop at South Seminole Nursery, our Clients requested a landscape plan with plants that would be easy to take care of. Wildlife attraction and Florida friendly concepts to be integrated in the beds. We proceeded with these important considerations: privacy issues along the sides of the yard, existing St. Augustine lawn to be reduced, but not removed, water wise plant material, and irrigation system evaluation also. Our solution: We offered a pallet of wildlife Florida friendly plant material to choose from. Backyard landscape plan with Key West sunset theme | May 2015 | Clients had a pool installed and the pool company left the grade so water was running off a bare dirt hill and into the new pool, incredible. We were able to start work right away and set that grade so the water drained away from the pool. We then added hardy plant material and re-organized the palms so they were planted in a better spot. We had recommended a rock path, but the client decided on sod. Sod will struggle in the shade. We gave them instructions for care to give them the best chance. Otherwise, our 6 month follow up showed that all plants and even most of the sod was doing very well. Refresh and Renew planting beds | May 2015 | Removal of overgrown and declining plant material from planting beds surrounding house. The plants installed years ago were not a good choice, and due to constant hedging had declined to the point of failure. We selected plants better suited to the size of the beds and landscape. We also improved the irrigation and performed follow up services during our 6 month guarantee period to make sure the landscape takes off and does well. | $12k | Longwood, FL
Lake Mary Fl backyard landscape enhancement | Apr 2015 | Backyard landscape needed refreshed beds and new look. We redefined the lines by adding more curves, fresh flowering butterfly plants, and natural stone. | $4k | Lake Mary, FL |
