  | Myakka City Wood Porches | Sep 2017 | Myakka City Wood Porch Project was the removal of existing 4ft×4ft porch and a 4ft×8ft wood porch, both on the back of the house. We then built 2 new porches the same dimensions but with wider 1"× 6" boards, we used 2" × 10" boards for the outer frame & added a 2"×4" railing and 2"×10" stairs. We also removed 3 rows of boards from the deck on the front of house that wad 60ft long and we installed new boards. We replaced an upstairs bedroom window, double pane. We had hired another company to install the window but they unfortunately took our deposit & disappeared. At that point we went ahead & ordered a window ftom Lowes. This put us behind a bit.
