This Master Bathroom is in a residence located in Scarsdale, NY. The goal of this project was to update, freshen, and modernize the existing bathroom by completing a gut renovation. With the addition of many custom features the client was able to get a personalized look. The end result is a soothing sanctuary off the master suite.

Dec 2014

This project consisted of two parts - renovation and decoration. The renovation project was a complete gut of the kitchen and master bathroom, and an addition of a bathroom on the third floor loft. The decoration project dealt with the living room, powder room and master bedroom. The existing kitchen and master bathroom were dark and outdated. We freshened them up with white cabinetry, neutral tile schemes and bright accent colors.

Dec 2014

The clients purchased a new house and wanted to make it function for their family. The renovation included a kitchen, powder room, mudroom, family room, office and upstairs hall bath. The kitchen was a complete gut renovation. The existing space had a u-shaped kitchen with the peninsula protruding into the walkway, making the kitchen feel cramped and small. We demolished all of the cabinetry, stole space from an oversized powder room, and created a new layout that opened up the kitchen, allowing it to flow into the eating area and family room. The client also loves to cook, so a large island was a coveted addition. In this renovation, we also reconfigured the powder room and hall closet to make space for a mudroom that the original house lacked. We added floor to ceiling built-ins in the family room and office to provide more functional storage. In the upstairs hall bath, we stole space from a bedroom closet to expand the bathroom and accommodate a large floating vanity. For the decorating, we kept the main space that includes the kitchen, eating area and family room, neutral with accents of red and navy to add personality, while allowing the spaces to flow from one another. For some of the smaller spaces, the clients took risks with berry and silver beaded wallpaper in the powder room and teal walls in the office, which really helped to make the house their own.

Dec 2014

This project is located in Bronxville, NY. The client wanted to modernize and update the bathrooms, decorate the guest room and the living room. The inspiration behind this living room was a chandelier located in the Biltmore Estates that the clients fell in love with when they were married on the property and wished to replicate. This chandelier easily became the focal point due to the incredible architecture of the space and grandeur of the chandelier itself. The next big statement was the drapes, which is where the entire color palette flowed. Picking up on the accent colors, we carried the rust, plum and light blue around the space. Paired with the creamy neutrals, the color scheme gave the room a sense of warmth while still maintaining a level of sophistication.

Dec 2014

This project was a large two-story renovation including the kitchen, mudroom, family room, powder room, home office, master suite, laundry room, and hall bath. The existing kitchen was outdated and in need of a complete overhaul. The original layout had an awkwardly positioned diagonal island, a small desk area interrupting the breakfast nook and an ill-placed laundry room, all of which were eliminated or re-located in the renovation. We altered and rotated the island and relocated the laundry room to gain the clients a coveted pantry and message center. We also opened up the kitchen to a new family room the two spaces connected by the eating area created an open concept space. The original master bathroom was cramped and only had room for a small shower. Since we were undergoing the renovation on the first floor, we were able to gain them space upstairs by bumping out the second floor on top of the family room addition below. This allowed for a larger master bath, with space for both a steam shower and a jetted soaking tub, his and hers walk-in closets, a hall bath and a relocated laundry room. For the design, the clients wanted a crisp, clean feel will pops of bright accents that we achieved throughout the house.

The home is a classic English Cottage, Tudor-revival home built in 1928 and located in Scarsdale, NY. The home has many original, charming features such as exterior pargetry, tapestry brick, barrel-vaulted living room ceiling, plaster moldings, tudor arches, and original, leaded glass stained windows. The goal was to achieve timelessness in the furnishings and decor. I wanted to maintain a warm environment while still incorporating more contemporary design.

East Garden

Dec 2014

This project consisted of the sons' room, living room, dining room and basement. We converted the basement into a multifunctional space with a den area for the children and a much coveted mudroom for the family. This allowed for the client to gain functional storage and organization while still having a space for the family to relax. For the decoration of the living room and dining room, we updated and modernized the spaces with clean furniture and fresh color schemes. The overall feel of the spaces are serene with just enough pops of color to bring out the clients personality.

Oct 2014

This kitchen project is located in Larchmont, NY. The job was a complete gut renovation of the kitchen, breakfast nook, and powder room. The renovation allowed us to increase the functionality of the kitchen, add a peninsula for seating, and give the clients a large, open pantry that they coveted. Given that the first floor flowed so well from the family room to the kitchen to the dining room, the existing breakfast nook was unnecessary for this family. We took this space to use for a much-needed mudroom. We relocated the powder room entry so it was no longer in the middle of the kitchen, but rather accessed from inside the new mudroom. For the design, the clients wanted to marry rustic and modern elements to create their dream kitchen. By using a light wash on the floors, a farmhouse sink, and a wood hood, they added just enough rustic charm while still maintaining an overall modern feel.
