Architect - Seattle, WA
Michelle Linden and Henry Walters founded atelier drome with the belief that good design truly can improve our lives. This philosophy manifests itself in a design ideology that celebrates simple yet significant solutions. Rooted in modern design, atelier drome aims to work collaboratively with clients in an effort to provide an affordable solution catered to the owners' unique desires and needs. Each design, whether remodel or new construction, residential or commercial, or even a simple piece of furniture is specifically conceptualized with the human scale and owner's use of space in mind. As architects and designers, we believe in encouraging green sustainable building and design, understanding that our resources are precious. We get excited about creating intelligent solutions, rather than bigger solutions, and strongly believe that a thoughtfully designed project will have less impact on the earth, help foster positive relationships, and ultimately enhance the owners' lives. Tag Line Good design doesn't just look great, it actually improves your life. Specialties - Inspired and excited - we are as enthusiastic about your project as you are - Flexible - we can serve you in a variety of ways, tailoring our services to each individual client - Small space specialists - we work on all sizes of projects, but have a special understanding of how best to design in small spaces

View Home | Jan 2012 | Location, location, location. This house had a number of small spaces, few of whom were taking advantage of the view. By ripping of the roof, gutting the interior, and adding a master suite 2nd story addition - the homeowners can now enjoy the view from every room. | $500k | Bellevue, WA
Mid-Century Small Home | Jan 2012 | A complete gut of this mid-century home allowed the owners to reconfigure the space and accommodate a more modern style of living. | $25k | Seattle, WA
Modernized Bathroom | The old bathroom was not only falling apart, but just didn't fit all of the necessary fixtures. By reconfiguring the bathroom (and stealing a little space from a nearby closet), the owners were able to gain a bathroom they could share. | $10k | Seattle, WA
Kitchen for a Graphic Designer | Like so many mid-century homes, the kitchen was blocked off from the main eating and living areas, but the family wanted to be able to have a more open style of living. By removing a wall, reconfiguring the kitchen, and adding a deck, they can now enjoy cooking and entertaining. | $125k | Seattle, WA
Queen Anne Duplex | This view home had not been updated in over 40 years and it showed. Beyond the outdated finishes, the spaces were small and closed off, rather than an open plan style of living that so many enjoy today. By opening the interior spaces on the main floor and upper level, as well as upgrading the materials, the owners are able to enjoy a more modern home. | $350k | Seattle, WA
Industrial Kitchen | With a passion for cooking, this family loved the idea of using industrial appliances and fixtures, but couldn't figure out how to lay out the kitchen. By knocking down a wall and opening up the kitchen and eating, there is now room for everyone. | $40k | Seattle, WA
