If you are looking for true craftsmen who deliver on time, on budget and without having to check their work, then JAS is for you. We had a wonderful experience working with them on a plus $500,000 remodel and firmly believe they are worth the extra price you might pay.

They were terrific. Joe is a great talent and his team (Dennis, Jillian, Diego and Charlie) was outstanding. They made what is typically a stressful time for a homeowner into a very manageable project. On time and 10% under budget.

  | Kitchen remodel | Feb 2007 | Major remodel of kitchen and dining room, focused on creating a modern space that fit the character and period-intent of this 1896 Victorian Capitol Hill home. We removed the breakfast nook, and bumped out the east wall of the kitchen, eliminating a small covered porch. We then added french doors and an ipe exterior deck, as well as a rooftop deck above the extended space. The previous kitchen was an owner-remodel, and featured cheap laminate countertops and cabinets that were improperly installed (cabinets not fastened to the wall, and countertops not fastened to cabinets). The new kitchen features a highly-usable galley flow, an extensive built-in bookcase for the owner's cookbook collection, custom dish hutch and semi-custom painted cabinetry, and a 13-ft Carrara marble island. The remodel also updated plumbing and wiring, as well as re-coating and replacing the aging lath and plaster walls in both the dining room and kitchen. Appliances include a glass-doored Sub-Zero refrigerator, Wolf range, and custom-paneled Miele dishwasher. | $180k | Seattle, WA |
