DO NOT EVER USE THESE GUYS. They made multiple attempts to cheat me into paying a crazy amount for a simple job. Here's an honest account of my experience with them - 1. I called them on May 31st because I accidentally damaged by neighbors carport. I was in a panic and told them that I was a first time home owner. Big Mistake! They tried every possible way to take advantage of me since. 2. Sara was supposed to schedule an inspection for Wednesday June 5th. I took the morning off work but no one showed. Her response was - she forgot to get it on their schedule. I was patient - I accepted a reschedule for the 7th. 3. Brian showed up on the 7th on schedule and sent me an estimate for over $800 (including $200 for landfill) and 5-8 hours of work. I was surprised since the damage didn't seem very much. I asked for the landfill to be taken off since I could move the trash myself. Based on the reviews of this business I didn't think twice that they would be cheating me. 4. Sara didn't get it scheduled despite my approving the estimate - I had to call multiple times. Finally, Istvaan was scheduled to do the work June 21st. 5. On June 21st, Istvaan and Hudson arrived at 8:25am. I was surprised to see 2 people but I didn't know enough to argue. They left to buy hardy board for the job at 8:30am. I kept waiting for them to come back - I live only 2 miles from Home Depot. At 9:30am I lost patience and went to Home Depot myself but didn't see them there. They came back home at 10am claiming Home Depot was out of hardy board and that they had to go to Alki Lumber (0.5 miles from my house). So it took them an hour and a half to drive 5 miles total and pick up one piece of hardy board. I got a picture of the receipt for the hardy board - $53 6. Istvaan did the work - Hudson mainly watched. He pitched in by drying paint, holding up the hardy board every now and then and picking up material from the truck. They were done by 12:20pm. 7. I got an invoice for a whopping $1034.11 - They charged me at $95 an hour for 8.75 hours + $108 for materials. I was shocked. Hudson barely did any work. Plus they were only there for a total of 4 hours. (4x2 = 8). 8. I called Sara and asked how they could charge me for a store run that lasted an hour and a half, why the material cost was so high and how could they charge me $95 an hour for Hudson drying paint! Her response - mark up! 9. I worked out with Istvaan the actual price of the materials (including paint supplies etc) - it was $64. But Sara claimed that it's an industry standard to mark up from $64 to $108. Without offering any explanation. 10. After multiple days of fighting they agreed to give me an hour discount - on the 8.75 hours. They were only there for 8!!!! I checked with Istvaan - he agrees with me that they were only there for 4 hours - that's what he put in his notes. Additionally they decided to waive the nearly 200% mark up - bringing my total to $881. 11. Sara claimed I had approved an estimate and already handed my credit card information so that's my too bad. 12. Fake mark ups and hours worked, bad scheduling, no response to voicemails - these are the multitude of ways that this company blatantly tried to cheat me. And after all that - the work wasn't even great. Do not patronize this business. They tried every trick in the book to cheat me because I made the mistake of letting them know I was a first time home owner and gave them my credit card information upfront.
