McCown Road

May 2019

Located in an old farmhouse outside Walla Walla, Wa, the McCown Road project features a kitchen and master bathroom, as well as a new patio space with outdoor kitchen that were updated over the course of several years. The bathroom and kitchen layouts ware rearranged to make the spaces more functional, while blending in seamlessly with the farmhouse style. A built-in bench with custom oval table create a cozy eat-in kitchen dining spot. The new patio functions as a gathering space in warmer months, and the outdoor kitchen features a rain screen atop the pergola so it can be used year round.

West Queen Anne

Apr 2019

Located on the West slope of Queen Anne, this project features a master bathroom and closet remodel. The bathroom was completely rearranged so that a double vanity plus makeup vanity could be included, as well as a more functional shower. In the closet, built-ins were installed to maximize storage and display space for the client’s extensive clothing, shoe and bag collection. A soft, neutral color palette was introduced to both spaces for a calming effect.

Meadowbrook

Dec 2018

Immediately upon purchasing their first home, our clients reached out to us to help them redesign the upstairs. What started as a 1990’s builder home was transformed into a space unique to the client’s style. The walls around the existing kitchen were removed to create an open great room, and the master bathroom was reconfigured to maximize the space. To finish it off, living and dining furniture were incorporated with diner parties and conversation in mind.

58th Street

Mar 2018

This lovely home was a blank slate for K&L Interiors. Recently purchased and empty it needed immediate work to create a cohesive living and dining room. Luckily this home had great bones to work with like elegant archways, custom molding, a fantastic built-in hutch and plenty of natural light. Using soft yet durable fabrics and finishes, two warm and inviting spaces were created to balance each other and become the perfect backdrop for a night of entertaining family and friends.

70th Street

Apr 2017

The 70th Street project started as an empty and non-functional attic space. We designed a completely new master suite, including a new bathroom, walk-in closet, bedroom and nursery for our clients. The space had many challenges because of its sloped and low ceilings. We embraced those challenges and used the ceiling slopes to our advantage to make the attic feel more spacious overall, as well as more functional for our clients.

Spruce Street

Sep 2015

Built in the early 1990’s, the Spruce Street residence was a 4-level home designed in true 90’s style. It was adorned with a triangular window, randomly curved walls, sunken rooms, an overly wide staircase and paint colors to match the inside of a Valentine’s day conversation hearts candy box. The homeowner purchased the home in 1992 and has lived there ever since. During the winter of 2014, the client was ready for the home to be remodeled and we stepped into the project to work on the kitchen and master bathroom design. However, the project quickly grew and we added new flooring, paint, window treatments and lighting throughout the home as well. The functionality of the home was increased by widening the tight galley kitchen and rearranging the master bathroom layout. We also updated the living room fireplace and purchased new furniture for the kitchen nook and living room. Spruce Street has had a total transformation and is now a reflection of the homeowner's eclectic taste, and it has been brought to a whole new level of style and comfort.
