Painter - Seattle, WA
Steve Schmitt & Top End Painting. ~ I have been doing high end detailed paint work in the Seattle area since 1992. ~ My jobs run the gamut from small craftsman's to tricked out modern homes. ~ I only use paints on the high quality end of the spectrum, low VOC paints optional. ~ I pride myself on knowing how to solve surface problems and do detailed work with great proficiency. My early years were spent working with Washington Fine Painting, we specialized in restoration of large homes, usually working around Highland street or Prospect Ave on Queen Anne hill and Madison Valley as well. I then went on to work with Poval Painting, whose main source of work were tech industry clients around Hunts Point, Clyde Hill & Medina, My main job with Gary Poval was detailed brush work, rolling out walls, and caulking. Licensed & Bonded since 2006. Thanks for considering me. -Steve. LIC/BONDED/INSURED

![]() ![]() | Greenlake Modern 02 | Aug 2015 | Paid by the hour, I was in charge of making the VG fir that graced the exterior look amazing. First of I sanded a few flaws out, then Benite, followed by three coats of AquaSpar making sure to sand between coats, the Eve's and front siding all got this treatment. I then went inside to finish off a few of the fine interior details like the floating stairway, several doors, and some misc clear coating. | $3k | Seattle, WA |
![]() ![]() | Greenlake Project ~ Craftsman | Aug 2014 | This tasteful remodel on 55th near Cafe Zoka had a lot of detail, a large deck in the back and new windows from the local Cherry Creek windows & doors in Wallingford, Because of the new cedar windows and shingles, almost the entire house needed to be primed with an oil based primer | $10k | Seattle, WA |
![]() ![]() | Ravenna Upstairs remodel | Jul 2014 | Spray finish on trim with Benjamin Moore Advance, multiple colors, Benite flowed by CrystalFin on ceiling wood detail & stair well details. ![]() ![]() | Graham Baba Phinney Modern. | Oct 2010 | This home was designed by Graham Baba architectural firm, well known for there amazing modern restaurants in and around Capital hill and ballard and was Built by DeBoone Construction Co. For the vertical grain fir eve's and exterior doors, I used Benite followed by Daly's AquaSpar. For the Metal sheets that incase the siding, I used Sherwin Williams metal primer followed by a metal paint. NOTE: I painted the interior on a separate bid of 6800.00 but lack sufficient photos. ALSO: several piece of the exterior were painted by the metal workers and this effected the overall price. | $4k | Seattle, WA |
![]() ![]() | Greenlake 55th & Wallingford job | Oct 2008 | This wonderful home sits near several other homes I've painted on the corner of 55th & Wallingford, I got the phone call for this job rather late in the year, but it turned out october was rather dry that year, there was several days of prep, but most of the cost was related to the many windows and misc trim. This home looks today as if it was painted yesterday. | $7k | Seattle, WA |
![]() ![]() | Queen Anne Condo | Apr 2008 | A young couple hired me to paint this modern condo with sweeping views of the city and lake union. there were six colors. | $3k | Seattle, WA |
![]() ![]() | Ragatta Penthouse suite condo | Mar 2006 | Large 3500 sq foot penthouse condo across the street from GasWorks park. The homeowner instructed me he wanted wanted the doors to look like the hood of a car or porcelain, I used Sherwin Williams Pro-Classic water based oil/hybrid paint to achieve such a finish, he also said the furniture stays, so i had to do an ambitious masking job before the sprayer came out. I also worked on the kitchen walls, hall, and downstairs. I have been back to do other misc paint projects since 2006 as well, the most recent being in 2013. | $6k | Seattle, WA |
