Rods Renovation and Repairs

I wish there was a less than zero star. Yea, at first he gave a good spiel and his quote was right. But, he is totally inept. I finally had to fire him because of constant mistakes. He ruined several hundred dollars of expensive tile because he couldn't cut it right. Then when he finally cut the tile, he laid it crooked. He botched a shower install, ran pipes the wrong way and on and on. A 7th grader in Shop Class would be a better choice for your remodel. Oh and did I mention he disappeared after he said he would make good for the damage. Run from this guy!

Started a deck and rain guard rebuild in June, 2016. Had a bad stain job and issues with spacing. Came 5-22-2018 to power wash prior to re-staining. Stopped returning calls and has not completed the project.

When Rod came out to give us an estimate he thoroughly explained what he could do and the materials he would use. He replaced our two primary front porch columns, story and half. The porch roof was well-supported and the old columns replaced one at a time; the new material was primed and installed before he left for the day. The next day he found excessive damage when he replaced the trim around the three, one story, columns. We subsequently had him replace the three columns and he was very fair in pricing the additional work. He also replaced dry rot on the side of the porch. He displayed great workmanship, was tenacious, very nicely finished the job. He will be returning to do additional repairs on the back to the house.
