Jake Stewart and company are honest, hard-working, focused, true professionals who did an excellent job refinishing the hardwood floors in our 1930’s home! Prior to contracting with Stewart Family Floors we had two recommended floor refinishers begin the work, but neither could complete the job to our satisfaction. Jake assured us that he could repair the damage left by previous workers as well as that from carpet with carpet padding that had been nailed and stapled to the floor. During one of the hottest weeks of August with record-setting heat indexes, Jake and company attacked the project with vim and vigor. They worked until and after they were literally soaked with perspiration in “this old house", with AC and fans going full blast! Many times we had to insist that they stop and re-hydrate offering them water, Gatorade, and whatever else was in our fridge. Areas that previous floor refinishers insisted could not be repaired, Jake and company simply found ways to get the job done. These guys work hard all day, once asking us how early they could arrive! We had a problem with what they uncovered as birch wood stairs. On the first and second sanding passes the stair treads were not sanded as smoothly as we desired. After explaining the problem to him, Jake arrived the next morning with a solution. Admitting that he had never encountered birch wood stairs, they hand-sanded them smooth to our satisfaction before adding several layers of polyurethane—with an absolutely beautiful result! Furthermore, Jake and his crew are folks that one simply does not mind having in one’s home. I actually miss the energy that they bring and even the whirring of their machines! If you desire great-looking hardwood floors, do not hesitate. Simply call Jake at Stewart Family Floors! His prices, although not the least expensive, are far from the most expensive, and are worth every dime. We’ve lived in many homes with hard-wood floors and cannot imagine that anyone could do a better job than Stewart Family Floors. Oh, and beyond all of the above, these guys have great manners, as well as respectful, positive attitudes!

Jake installed several rooms of flooring in our home during our remodeling. He was very knowledgeable. He helped us locate the highest quality products at the best price for our needs. We couldn't be happier with our floors! We definitely made the right choice!
